I decided to re-vamp one of my most popular tunes...  I gave it a BIGGER bassline, tighter drums, louder vocals, etc... but I still wanted to keep the funkiness of the original...  I'm very excited to finally re-release it, because the ACAPELLA is on the 12-inch.  It's gonna be SO AWESOME to hear what people mix the acapella with...  hehehehe...

Blip Discs' very own O'Flynn first dropped onto our radar with last year's Tyrion / Desmond's Empire, which received numerous accolades from many electronic music pros. James Blake and Pearson Sound are included, and Four Tet is quoted to have even said that he "literally could not put that record down. It's going off everywhere I play it."

News of O'Flynn's second EP brings an excitement so palpable, we at HQ are jumping at the opportunity to back it. The Oberyn / Spyglass EP embodies that same O'Flynn spirit of laidback dance music we got well acquainted with the first time around. A sound so in vogue, we even dedicated a podcast to it last year. After James Blake dropped the A-side on his BBC Radio One residency, we were keen to get our mitts on the other track. Lo and behold – we present "Spyglass"! An insatiable groove of (surprisingly un-cheesy) sax and purple-tinged synth patterns, mellower in nature when compared to its bouncy exotic "Oberyn" counterpart. Another successful yield from one of dance music's most prosperous newcomers.
Oberyn / Spyglass drops on 18th March (digi + vinyl).

Known for her Bad Barbie Radio Show on Kane FM where her love of music and lively personality really get a chance to shine. Her love of music and energetic personality are infectious as she always champions new, up and coming artists, this is her niche finding great new music that keeps the Bad Barbie Army listening every week. This energy translates well into her live gigs from clubs to bars to festivals her fantastic selection is guaranteed to pack the dance floor and keep it that way. Recently Bad Barbie has teamed up with co-producer Evil Smarty to create a string of Re-edits currently riding high in the Juno chart.
