Last summer into late spring, I started building up a collection of fast-paced, uptempo tech house. Think Bolier Room UK; Chris Stussy, salute, Kolter. It's all a serious vibe. Mix in a cocktail of some funky bassline hitters, and you have Second Nature. This one is a collection of all my faves from this year and my season end, Summer wrap-up. Nothing fancy, just some slick basslines, and even slicker transitions. Enjoy cuties. Thanks for the love. <3

Second Nature | Funky House, UK Tech House

Burning Man has become one of my favorite places in the world. I love the freedom, the individual expression of everyone who attends, and I love giving the gift of music. A lot of people rave about the sunrises there, but I personally love the sunsets. Seeing the transition of day into night, watching the sun go down and all the lights of the playa come out, it brings me so much joy. I had such a blast performing this sunset set this year. I played lots of new music but also some old favorites that fit the atmosphere. Big love to everyone on the Axolotl Art Car for having me and being so kind and welcoming.

SkiiTour - 2025 Bass Coast Mix

On Halloween, Tony Gamboa and I played on the rooftop of the Canary Hotel in Downtown Santa Barbara. Sold out night filled with people dressed up and enjoying the night in the open air. The vibes were top notch. The crowd was very mixed as far as demographics and age so I played a lot of remixes and big tunes which seemed to be what people wanted. It was full on party mode

Today we are super excited to release DJ Dan's (inStereo Recordings, Apt Ent, Los Angeles) epic 2+ hour fast and funky house set from the dramatic Tropical 27-Year Anniversary Hot Tub Oasis Retreat September 28, 2025!

We've had Dan play before, both at Tropical Oasis Retreat back in 2016, and at Tropical Boat party in 2018.  So this return is an appearance long overdue.

This is the best mixed set I (Ben Annand) heard in 2025, as well as my favorite DJ Dan set.
This year I got to know Dan quite a bit better as we were  festival roommates in Wisconsin (July), Alaska (Sept) and finally in California at this Tropical Event.  He's a super funny and humble guy, a legend for a reason. 

As the more humble headliners often do, Dan asked about how to play at this particular event.  I delivered what I know to be the best  news you can give to the dj - Our crowd is super open, play however you want, feel free to take risks and be adventurous in a long set.

That's exactly what you get here - Funky AF, a bit faster than normal due to where Dan was handed off, lots of 80s and 90s influences and fun flashbacks, artfully and perfectly mixed.

If there is ever a museum created for DJ mixes, this one should go in it.
