A Reggae romp and whomp in the jungle!  Classic reggae groove meets deep, dubwise headbanging bass minced with Dancehall, Glitch, Twerk, Moombah, Dubstep, Tropical and Drum n Bass!!!

DRAGONFLY - ENVISION FESTIVAL RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE

An East-meets-East caravansary of Indo-centric  trap-and-twerk that runs the gamut of sounds, vibes, genres and tempos. The set is marked by slow-and-low serpentine rhythms, syncopated stylings of twerked up Bhangra and Arabtronica, all blown by shifting winds  of bass.

An (as always)unplanned, from the heart set recorded @ Lightning In a Bottle, 2015, Temple of Consciousness stage.

One of the best West Coast gatherings of the summer - so far! In this mix are folksy, spacious, deep house tunes as heard in my set dropped on a meandering late Friday afternoon...river side stage, at Northern Nights Festival, in the Northern California redwoods.

A project unlike any other comes to Desert Trax this fall. Between 2009 and 2012, psychedelic bass producer Twin Shape created but left unfinished three songs that tied him inextricably to a certain time and place. As the years went on, these pieces remained rough and untouched, until he sought the help of three fellow producers to help him complete these songs.

The result is the Auxiliatus EP. From the Latin “to support,” Alterra, Shwamp, and COAM stepped in to give Twin Shape distance, perspective, and help to revisit these original creations and give them a contemporary feel on “Seeded,” “D&N,” and “Glimpse,” respectively. Three tightly wound compositions that have spanned nearly a decade since their inception now come to life with throbbing low end and alien implications. A strong recommendation for fans of Bird of Prey, Phutureprimitive, and Ott.

Standout Desert Trax contributor Key-G steps in for a remix of the Alterra collab, “Seeded,” to round out this 4-track set. The Auxiliatus EP is finally available September 13th.

BIRDS IN PARADISE is a contemporary medicine music album inspired by indigenous traditional and shamanic ceremony. These gorgeous vocals from Miranda Rondeau a "universal language" that she created, my favorite kind of language. This remix album includes a number of other remixes I am excited to include in my DJ sets.
