With this 6-track EP, Frame shows once again his abilities in the electronic music exploration and production, he blends together very different sounds, creating some of the most interesting tunes we have heard to date. Frame worked on a concept for this EP, mixing dancefloor and more relaxd tunes, a variety of cheerful sounds, deep and footwork. In his on words: “Into the wood” has many pieces recorded in the wood, such as the rustling of the grass and the beating of two pieces of wood. “Primitive Jungle” wants to be a cheerful and dancefloor piece, remembering the South American jungle. “Big Foot” uses footwork sounds mixed with deep rolling elements. “Nerina” is very melodic and the percussions that are heard are sampled goats cowbells. “Progressive Raver” is an ever growing rhythm that starts half-tempo and becomes dnb, with ever-evolving rave voices. “Northern Lights” started as a concept for a half-beat movie sound with a blend of synth growl and sampled instruments. “Ghetto Funk” is breakbeat tune with strong garage influences.
FRAME BIO:
Frame is the alias for Riccardo Calliari, italian born producer and dj.  He has always been in love with bass music, making his first steps by mixing vinyls, then becoming interested in the world of electronic production and he studied with the producer and master Luca Fronza. His first releases is on the italian label Singularity Audio, then he made tracks for  Delta9 Recordings and Tesseract Recordings. After the first rolling releases, he focuses on a new sound with more footwork and melodic attitudes. Then comes out for the Italian label The Dreamers with an EP called "Natural Sound" and some of his songs have been played on BBC Radio 1 and in Critical Music and Diffrent Music showcases on Rinse FM by artists such as Ulterior Motive, Dexta, Mauoq, Shyun and Was a Be. He also arranges music and produces sound design FX for visual art installations and exhibitions in art galleries.

Deep beneath the brooding waves in the Northern-most waters of the globe, the wreck listed heavily in the grip of the weighty current; guiding it’s infernal, slow descent with its cold touch. The void below awaited, the edge of the abyss mere meters ahead. A shimmering and terrible form emerged from the dark turquoise periphery, vast and cruel-looking, its tentacles unfurled against the decaying frame of the ship. Tens of suckers reached out with their voluptuous rings, gently brushing against the surface, seeking a way in. It could sense the death here, the swollen corpses within proffering the rich scent of succulent flesh – particles of those who once lived slipping between the planks and out into the ocean. It hungered… the heavy need to consume, driving it forward more quickly as it wrapped itself around the sailors’ tomb. A tentacle slipped through a porthole in the gloom, its faceteeth gnashing in anticipation, chattering cruelly and nervously. It slipped inside the black interior, appendages reaching in all directions for the meat it craved. It found the first of the floating corpses in moments, curling itself around and lowering its beak upon the fragile skull, crushing it easily and inhaling the bloody water deeply. The OCTOPUS shuddered with pleasure as it reveled in its putrid meal, fading deeper within the darkness to hunt its next morsel.

The ever-evolving EATBRAIN imprint welcomes an exceptional and exciting fresh producer back to the fold, with the Dutch-born KOLT bringing his debut EP - OCTOPUS – into the appendages of the label. Following up his well-received initial track ‘Perforate’ on the ‘Divergence’ compilation, which also features on the EP, Eatbrain returns for more of this young creator’s fresh and exciting sound. Featuring 4 tracks of pure energetic mayhem, with an exceptional and pointed sound design ethic that straddles multiple sub-genres of drum and bass, the OCTOPUS EP delivers a unique and highly kinetic outlay with razor sharp edges. With such a significant first step as this, it’s almost certain that we’re likely to be hearing more from KOLT on EATBRAIN in the future.

Trex is a talented London based producer that hit the radar of many labels and djs lately, now he delivers a crispy 6 track EP for The Dreamers Recordings. The Smokehouse EP is a mixture of rolling drums and heavy bass with fresh sounding tracks: “Smokehouse” has a nostalgic atmosphere and a gritty bass, “Manic Culture” is a straight 2 step track perfect for the dancefloor, “Matter Of Fact” shows some footwork influences with a rolling drumbreak, “Rest Bite” is another heavy bass that will sound big on every good soundystem, “Eerie Noise” goes deep with a rolling drum and deep sub basses, while “Eye Spy” closes the EP with an addictive rythm.


TREX BIO:
Joe Trex is a long time dnb fanatic based in Camden, London
Over the years he has held down Dj'ing residencies in Plymouth, London & Brighton as well as playing out abroad on occasion. He has also regularly featured on radio stations such as Origin UK, Rinse, Radio1 & Drum & Bass Worldwide.
In the last 6 years it is really his production that has taken centre stage. Slowly improving his techniques and carving out a sound and identity of his own. Releasing on labels such as, Chronic,  Ingredients, Flexout Audio, Run Dnb, Blendits, Lockdown, Directors Cut and Mac2 which is where he has found a spiritual home & releases scheduled with Dispatch ltd, Sofa Sound and The Dreamers for 2018 all strains of dnb are in the repertoire.
A lot of the top players in DNB have supported his music over the years.  Andy C, Bryan G, Doc Scot, Randall Hype, Dillinja, Bailey & Storm to name just a few.
Rolling Drums and heavy bass are the mantra and this is evident when Trex plays out live, Djing is not an after-thought and he truly knows how to work a crowd. 
On top of his busy release schedule Trex  set up his own imprint Trust Audio in September '16 now up to release number 9. Which has become a platform to further push his and like minded artists sounds out to the dnb fans.
With momentum taking hold and circumstances aligning, Trex has completed a 2 year project in the form of  ‘High Time’  which dropped on Mac2 this summer. 13 tracks that are true to the craft and project Joe’s personality in musical form for all to hear.
Over the coming months expect to see releases from Trex on Dispatch, Sofa Sound, The Dreamers and of  course Mac2.
