3rd release on  The Dreamers Recordings for Frame, a very talented and young italian producer who grew up with our label. As you well know our goal is to promote the freshest sounds from worldwide talents. Doesn’t matter if it’s footwork, jungle, rollers or drum and bass oriented, quality stuff is our trademark. 
Turntable ( 174 bpm - Fm ) A fresh crossover between Footwork Jungle and Rolling. Deep  bassline and classic 808 / 909 drumkit make the magic, while the whole athmospere is topped with some hoovers and percussive sounds.The second drop is dedicated to the halfstep lovers, this song is a cool groove for the dancefloor !
Don’t Stop ( 172 bpm - Dm ) it’s a classic  Jungle oriented tune with a nice vocal cut  and some house music flavour. The stabs evolving nicely with some gnarly bass hits on that classic drum break. With this one ,Frame reinforce our strong core sound, adding his fresh touch, and remind us where we came from.





Frame bio:
Frame is a drum and bass dj and producer from north of Italy. He studied Electronic Music Producer with dj/producer Luca Fronza, and piano. In 2016 he had its first release on the italian label Singularity Audio with "Bad Money" and the "Intense" EP. After this release his friend and master Neve, seeing his great potential, asked him to produce an EP for The Dreamers Recordings. 
With the Turin Label he made two EP "Natural Sounds" and "Primitive Jungle" who affirmed it in the scene receiving support from Rinse FM, Mauoq and Jon1st. After this release he started making music for labels like Delta 9, Warm Ear Music, Locked Concept, Atmomatix, TerraFirma and many others.His track "Ehiua" was played on BBC Radio 1 by Rene Lavice in his showcase and others tracks were played in Noisia Radio and in many podcasts like fabriclondon x Metalheadz.
He received support from artists like Rene LaVice, Ulterior Motive, Zero T, Bredren, Conduct, Jon1st and Was A Be.

‘Drips’ sets the pace and opens the flood gates with a flowing groove and lingering bass womps like condensation off a low ceiling. ‘160909313’ steamrolls through with a constant Turbo drum machine drive accelerated by a non stop rolling bass riff. The doors are well and truly blown off in ‘Funk 160’ as a planet rocking breakbeat and infectious chord stabs set the pace with confidence and class. Balmy pads caress a lazy groove in ‘Summer Moods’ and conjure feelings of long evenings and ever lasting sunsets. The Riviera is all bit crushed pads and elite level breakbeat science while you enjoy the passing vistas. ’Clouds’ brings this episode to a close with a smooth glide through the stratosphere and beyond with 4/4 kicks and luscious bass arp.

'This record for me reflects the ongoing conversation between cultures and styles where jungle meets footwork meets techno, 3 cultures that share more in common than perhaps people realise, and for me this is more of a in-depth exploration for example of sonic tropes more prevalent in the world of detroit techno than other previous records. 'Clouds' and '160909313' for example being somewhat of an homage to Detroit, the birthplace of techno, yet another black music that changed the world.' - Philip D Kick / Om Unit

In what will be a series of singles leading up to a full compilation album later in 2021, this is a project that we've meticulously assembled over the last few years and one that we feel embodies the full breadth and identity of the last 25 years and more. Labelled as a seminal release by Goldie, we are here to showcase a comprehensive Metalheadz blueprint, without comprise as always.

The inaugural single is led by the electrifying and discernible sounds of John B's 'Up All Night', remastered for the very first time and presented alongside the hugely requested Data 3 remix - news on which has been relatively restrained, only appearing in a select few DJ's sets. The extended 'Epic Mix' also features as a digital exclusive.

After impressing in 2020 with his label debut Prepare for Take Off and his recent autumn smash “Ghost Train VIP”, Hemel Hempstead DJ/producer and Train Recordings head honcho Jaxx returns to ascendant label Murky Digital once more for his first EP of 2021, Weight Off Your Shoulders.

Primarily spotlighting his distinctive jump-up production style, the project opens with the sombre, deeply emotive strings and stuttering cymbals of its title track, which are soon subbed out in favour of a fuzzed, low-end-heavy crescendo. The ensuing offering, “Be Strong”, comes in stark contrast from its predecessor, demonstrating the wide variety of soundscapes encompassed under the jump-up umbrella. Hot on the heels of the track’s winding, phased synth leads and soulful vocal sample, a bulldozing, flanged bassline soon sneaks into play, transforming its character to make for a playful, club-ready concoction.

Past the EP’s halfway mark, “Got You Here” finds Jaxx teaming up with labelmate and West Londoner Dub General for a minimal, percussive stepper, while “Nice One Mate” juxtaposes jazzy, vibrato-tinged keyboards with razor-sharp, drilling basslines to make for a murmuring masterpiece. Finally, Swedish producer and Train Recordings affiliate 2Stars is on board for “TJA Bro”, a crunchy, 808-led belter which sees out the project in a characteristically riotous fashion.

With releases on a whole heap of esteemed drum and bass imprints including Liondub International and Macky Gee’s Down 2 Earth Musik already under his belt, expect to hear Jaxx’ musical arsenal making its way into plenty more DJ sets this year. The Weight Off Your Shoulders EP drops 9 February exclusively via Spotify and Juno Download, landing on other retailers and streaming services a week later on 16 February.
