This is a version of an old Steady Ups song that originally appeared on our demo tape in 1996.

Somewhere around the year 2002, I sent an instrumental version of the song to my friend Mike Mowry, who was the singer for a group from North Carolina called Las Cabriolas. Within a couple of hours, he has written the lyrics, recorded the vocals, and sent it back as you hear it here. Amazing talent. 

EDIT: Oh, and he also recorded the organ!

It was supposed to appear on our album "Soul of the City" on Jump Up Records, but didn't make the cut due to physical CD time restrictions. That's why the Jump Up album description (still) says that there are tracks featuring Mike Mowry and Chris Murray. The Chris Murray one is a story for another upload. We packed as much as we could possibly manage onto that CD and still had a bunch of songs left over.
