This mix pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of the DJs I spent many nights listening to and learning from, the New York City club scene was like no other from the early 70s, into the late 90s, and yet still to this day some of the parties are fire.

The Club 94th series was performed and recorded live. Yes, I continuously went digging in the crates, spinning with no set-up, just playing off the dome like in the old days.

Welcome to my church, listen to my sermon as I dispense my message from my pulpit (DJ setup). If you totally surrender yourself to feel the vibe deeply, hopefully, your mind, body, and soul will be much happier in the end.

Remember there is always a message in my music arrangement so listen to discover the message(s) while you enjoy and let yourself go!

You will experience the good, bad, and ugly of live recording without filters. Music is a microcosm of life, listen to the mix and enjoy the party!

Enjoy the full-length and/or extended throwback sounds when people were accustomed to dancing non-stop from the beginning of the night until the last record was played. These nights were the workouts for all, from a slow grind to a full-on sweat. Share with like minds and keep the party going!

Note: The DJ booth always had from 2 to 10 people inside. There was always a party in the DJ booth. The booth on many occasions filled in as a secret VIP section for the people in the know. You might hear some nuggets of information if you listen closely because of an open/hot booth mic. :-)

Club 94th 5: Sincerely Mix - 2023

I'm a person who loves music and creating mixes of full-length songs for friends along my travels. I like to spin with no setup, just playing off the top of my head while in the moment.  

Currently, I am sharing the mixes with my long-time friends and a new audience. I come from listening to the great DJs at the Gallery, The Garage, The Loft, The Shelter, Zanzibar, The World, The Tunnel (early years), Baseline, Funhouse, The Fever, Bonds International, 1018, on WBLS (early 80's), and too many street parties to mention.  These were the times when people danced (worked it out) all night into the morning and not just bobbed side to side. 

My love for music started in the early 70s as a way to channel my energy in a more positive direction.  Music became my teacher about life's many situations. I gleaned a lot from music, which became a significant part of my lifestyle. Later my older brother started me DJing for private parties in NYC.  

All that training led me to DJing in my travels. Traveling since 1981, I visited 49% of this big blue marble sharing the NYC flavor.  This was when most NYC DJs didn't venture outside of the tri-state area making me a unique commodity in my travels to Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and too many more places to mention here.  None of these nights would have been as memorable if it wasn't for the support of my many friends worldwide!  All of you should stand up now and take a well-deserved bow!

I have DJ'd as the recording media changed through the years from 8-track, reel to reel, cassettes, DAT, Minidisk, CD, MP3, and so on ... This site is just a place to share my music of live club sessions (typically 5-8 straight hours of DJing) with my long time friends who have asked for me to convert their analog recordings to digital format for old time sake. You also get to experience my evolutionary growth in this field.

My humble mixes have the occasional recorded mistakes (record skips, rough mixes, etc.) which happen when recording live shows. There are not any post-production corrections in the work so you hear the good, the bad, and the ugly mixes. 

All were recorded live to magnetic tape while staying true to the music, and the dancers' way of life, as my mind's eye feels about the mix at that place in time.  I also made all attempts to pay respect to the artists who created the sound. 

The venue is my church, the DJ booth is my pulpit, and the music is my sermon.  Come on in and listen as I pour out my heart and preach!
