Risen from the ashes of two of Kansas City’s top billing, well established bands, Black Ribbon Sky and Bent, comes Rise Within. Friends for many years, Justin, Anthony, Deric and Leo decided to finally do what they’ve talked about for years.. write music together. 

Not just any music, mind you. They had a particular formula in mind. Hard, heavy, groove laden music with melodic as well as heavy vocals. Powerful sounds that make you feel the music deep down inside.  Music that is thought out and refined, yet still retains that dirty quality that makes us all love the hard rock and metal genre so much.  Most importantly, they wanted to write music that they enjoyed knowing that others would feel the same.

Although Rise Within is relatively new to the scene, they’ve already grown a small following, and as a band have opened for Starset and Gemini Syndrome. Separately they have shared the stage with heavy hitters such as Marilyn Manson, Soil, Union Underground, Godhead, and Theory of a Deadman.
