Ranzel X Kendrick is a genre blending artist / singer-songwriter offering a very original pop rock "freestyle folk" groove in his Texas Trilogy: 1) Texas Cactus, 2) Texas Sagebrush, and 3) Texas Paintbrush. With all his eclectic Rock, Blues, Jazz & World Music songs recorded under the alter-ego title Alias Wayne. Very excellent lyricist and creative composer-arranger. 


Kendrick brings his alter ego persona to the Fall/2019 release: "SNAFU by Alias Wayne." Letting fans embrace his equal love of more-electric Jazzy Rock & Blues on a broader canvas! Following that with "FAUX PAS by Alias Wayne" and the first Legacy Collection EP: "Freestyle." Along with the Alias Wayne FAVS full album, Chaperon Single and now the inspiring "Love One Another."

CARDIFF MUSIC WOMEN aims to help get (and keep) more women and non-binary people into our local music industry - Cardiff & surrounding areas. This will include: 

- Events
- Signposting to information, support, services, networks, training
- Opportunities for women in music
- Sharing best practice
- Celebrating local females as positive role models
- Working with promoters, small festivals and other music businesses

WHY? Women make up 16% of UK songwriters, and only 5% of the audio industry. We believe it's our responsibility to try and help start the change locally.

MoonFace the Mage is the bardic alias of Folk-Rock solo artist Rhodri Welsh. It's been 20 years since the inception of the MoonFace moniker: Following the indefinite hiatus of his first band, Rhod opted to start writing and performing under a pseudonym to complement the finger-picking guitar style, broken-hearted strum and folk-fantasy confessions of this new solo acoustic project, so stole it straight from a magic faraway tree.
In 2005, Rhod joined forces with producer James Morgan to record and release a DIY EP titled 'Beyond All Recognition.' Whilst working full time in a Cardiff tailor shop, MoonFace continued to play live shows with festival appearances and a UK tour. Sharing the stage with artists such as Devendra Banhart, Seth Lakeman, Maria Taylor, and Hayseed Dixie. And in 2008, seamlessly evolving into a 4-piece band called 'MoonFace and the Familiar Shapes.'
Now, after a decade of creating a compendium of tales that traverse the realms of godless things and mountain kings in thematic existentialism, Rhodri Welsh and James Morgan join forces once again to record 'Astoria, to the Sea!' A full length LP to be released later this year under the updated moniker; MoonFace The Mage.

Wales Goes Pop! is an all-ages 3-day pop festival taking place over the Easter bank holiday weekend at The Gate in Cardiff, 30th March - 1st April 2018. 

The Gate is a stunning 400 capacity arts centre/converted church which is very family-friendly and serves food/drinks all day. Bands finish at 10pm to allow for travel/sleepy people, followed by DJs until 1am on Fri/Sat and 11pm Sunday.
