Sounds From NoWhere welcomes aboard the Canadian duo Orphx (Sonic Groove / HANDS).

Orphx have been creating their unique fusion of rhythm and noise since the mid 90s, combining elements of techno with the experimental techniques and critical spirit of industrial music.
The project was founded in 1993 by Rich Oddie, Christina Sealey, and Aron West, who began creating improvised soundscapes and audio/visual performances inspired by early industrial music, grindcore, and power electronics. 
Following cassette releases on their own Xcreteria label, West departed to focus on absurdist noise project Tropism while Oddie and Sealey began to push Orphx in a more rhythmic direction. 
Their distinctive sound used powerful layered rhythms, modulating soundscapes, and processed vocals and samples to explore themes of psychological conflict and social control. 

Orphx have refined their sound across numerous releases and many changes in tools and techniques, moving from reel to reel tape machines and homemade instruments to software sequencing and processing, and then back again to hardware following Sealey's adoption of modular synthesizers in 2008. 
Oddie and Sealey are renowned for delivering improvised live performances that combine modular synth, drum machines, software, and live vocals. 
They have toured throughout Europe, North America, Japan, and China, appearing at international festivals such as Berlin Atonal, Katharsis, Labyrinth, Mutek Montréal, Rural, and Unsound, and regularly performing at techno temples such as Berghain / Panorama Bar, Tresor, and KHIDI. 

Their work has been featured in films and documentaries, including I Dream of Wires (2014) and Soundtrack for the Urban Decay (2015). 
In recent years, they have been working on new audio-visual performances using infrasound and multi-channel speaker systems, working in collaboration with video artist Patrick Trudeau and McMaster University's Institute for Music and the Mind.

With his fast and energetic sets, he guarantees to make your mind wander off in the broad blend of his sound and the extraordinary attention he lays into his message. Capable of creating captivating selections in deep hypnotic techno and ambient as well. He has been the guest of many recognised podcast series around the globe.
Helps to co-create events with friends called Teoria Chaosu and Broken Bones.

A long period of b2b sessions culminated in the two artists merging their talents together to launch a new musical journey under the name of Tapefeed.
The soundscapes reproduced by Tapefeed evoke a truly raw, deep and almost mesmerising sensation created by the blending of hypnotic ambient tones with techno-tribal percussions, heavy basslines and emotional melodies. Their ever-evolving sound comes as the pinnacle of years of musical research shared by the duo. Alessandro’s decade-long experience as a music and art director, event organiser and avid music listener are essential in keeping Tapefeed’s image and sound up to date. Rick’s background as a drummer in rock and funk bands and his recent ventures in piano studies and production, on the other hand are the driving force behind their innovative sound. This merging of their passion, musical experience and innate desire to achieve new sounds allowed the duo to broaden their horizons by being the brainchilds of Tales Collective, where they are resident djs and organisers. 
Tales Collective aims to explore music, art and human consciousness by moving it away from its seemingly prefabricated one dimensional view and into a realm of shared, collective awareness. This brings forth a new breed of techno parties in which different artistic expressions fuse together to create a powerful, reflective and unique audiovisual experience

His performances are rare and more so are the live recordings of them -- comprised of a unique and tailored hybrid set that tantalizes the audience between apocaliptic kicks and unrelenteing drums. As always, It is a pleasure to shed light and offer the Erratic platform to talent of this caliber, be it up-and-coming or veteran. The talented duo hailing originally from Italy yet currently based out of London, Tapefeed. They are the resident DJs of Superstition at Village Underground in London and Co-owners of the Tales Collective label. 

Recently their return on Metempsychosis Records with a controversial EP which includes two powerful remixes by Answer Code Request and Killawatt.  Taking inspiration from a famous quote of Eldridge Cleaver (writer and political activist) “They use force to make you do what the deciders have decided you must do” which was also repeated many times from Rage Against The Machine's frontman Zack De La Rocha before the start of their live performances, the EP's raw and industrial sound is an invite to raise awareness to a time of worldwide disconnection and conflict.
