SARIN Mixes

SARIN is a Berlin based audio/visual and electronic music performance project with over a dozen releases over the last few years spanning vinyl, cassette & digital formats. 

These releases have been put out by labels such as Aufnahme + Wiedergabe, BITE,  B.F.E, Khemia, and his own X-IMG platform among others. 

His sound can be described as a blend of abrasive drum programming paired with minimal and catchy bass lines layered with dystopian cut-up style sampling of media detritus and the occasional vocal elements. Combined with his visual aesthetics of appropriation & degradation the project summons spirits of 80s industrial sounds & culture from which he draws much of his inspiration from and channels them into a syncopated dance of destruction.

Scottish born artist swærm delivers a sound that lies in the under belly of body music, a melting pot of industrial, wave, post-punk and all manner of dark electronic sounds. 
With his own imprint N.I.M [Northern Industrial Movement] he keeps the focus on the darker and harsher side of electronic music through the in-house label and podcast series.

Valera Lacerate, known as Lvcerate, hails from Kyiv, Ukraine. He began his musical journey as a drummer in mostly post-punk and punk bands before eventually delving into electronic music production. 

In this realm, he developed a deep admiration for a rigid, dancefloor-leaning sound infused with industrial and EBM motifs. However, he doesn’t confine himself to any particular genre and loves exploring various musical styles.


Despite his inclination toward experimentation, Valera's music possesses a distinct tone—both dramatic and confident—that creates an evocative atmosphere, encouraging a deeper connection with electronic music. He is also the host of the "Cultivating Discipline" program on Fade Radio, which focuses on 80s-inspired avant-garde music, initially emphasizing the Ukrainian noir scene.

Massive demonstrations have erupted in Tbilisi and other cities as a result of election falsification by the ruling party, the suspension of EU negotiations, anti-LGBTQ+ laws, authoritarian policies, and growing allegiance to the Kremlin. These protests have been met with violent crackdowns by riot police, including brutal assaults on journalists and widespread political repression.

More than 400 people have been arrested (age 15-60). 80% of them beaten and tortured in need of hospitalization. New laws further restrict freedom of peaceful expression during protest.

Hecate Legacy is an industrial techno project by Alex Nadiradze, an artist and DJ from Tbilisi. Having earned his stripes within the esteemed halls of KHIDI,  a household name in Tbilisis’s nightlife scene, Hecate Legacy commands the attention of its audience with a haunting synthesis of rugged industrial rhythms and melancholic primordial melodies. Hecate Legacy is a member of the Persephonic Sirens family and has been released on labels such as OSM Tapes and Liber Null Berlin.

As a prominent figure on the global underground circuit, Odilon’s Grip holds residencies at SLIMELIGHT in London and DARK ROOM in Berlin, while also regularly gracing the stages of CABARET BIZARRE (Basel), HOER (Berlin), and SUBVERSA (London). His relentless tour schedule has seen him perform at the most coveted venues worldwide, including DARK SUN Club (Athens), CULTO (Medellin), and NECROPOLIS Festival. We are very pleased to welcome Second Tension as our 36th guest on the Kaos London podcast series with a live mix of new music created for the Kaos London showcase at Astron Club, Athens in July 2024.

Second Tension is a project by Stavros Tilkeridis, a Greek artist and DJ. Stavros started creating music back in the early nineties, with next to no access to the outside world. He started with tape loops, not too dissimilar to those by Pierre Schaffer, and got his hands on his first sampler, Mpc 2000xl, by the late nineties. Stavros was introduced to rave culture in the early two-thousands and experimented his way through them, using his music to search for a deeper, hidden meaning. He started Second Tension in 2016 as an attempt to capture a progressive spirit in electronic music, combining primitive and industrial aesthetics. With 3 EPs and an LP  on Persephonic Sirens, and several  released on OSM Tapes, and Monolith.

La idea surgió de una pregunta simple pero poderosa: ¿Qué significa viajar? Le pedí a tres amigos que lo respondieran con una frase, y esas reflexiones están incluidas en la canción a través de vocales en español, aportando una carga emocional y humana que conecta con el oyente desde lo personal.

Melodías profundas, bajos envolventes y una progresión cuidadosamente desarrollada a lo largo del track crean una experiencia inmersiva que evoluciona con cada minuto. Es un track extenso, sí, pero necesario para expresar al máximo la energía y el mensaje que quiero transmitir..

SARIN es el proyecto de música electrónica y presentación multimedia del artista radicado en Berlín Emad Dabiri, originario de Toronto, Canadá.

Emad ha editado más de una docena de vinilos y cassettes en los últimos años bajo SARIN y otros proyectos de colaboración desde la transición de su experiencia en arte de audio/video.

Antes de comenzar el proyecto SARIN, Dabiri realizaba sus shows audiovisuales bajo el nombre INFINITY DOSE.

Ha lanzado con su proyecto en solitario y también con sus proyectos de colaboración en sellos como [aufnahme + wiedergabe], BITE, X-IMG, Fill-Lex Records, BFE Records, Total Black, AFU Limited, AREA Z, Linda Records, Veleno Viola, Tripalium Corp y Khemia.

Además de su proyecto en solitario, Dabiri actúa como Nostromo (con Unhuman), KONKURS (con BLUSH_RESPONSE) y Human Performance Lab (con Matt Cangiano).

También es el fundador de X-IMG, una etiqueta de cassette y plataforma de A/V.

El sonido de SARIN puede describirse como una mezcla de programación de batería abrasiva y líneas de bajo brutalmente mínimas combinadas con muestras distópicas de detritus de medios de corte, invocando espíritus de fetichistas tecno de cuerpo militante de antes.
