The Brvtalist is pleased to host Catartsis - Press (Ōtone Repress). This composition comes off Ōtone and Catartsis' spilt EP, Mechanical Gesture, which OBSCUUR originally released digitally in August 2020. The EP was met with wide acclaim and supported by DJ Stingray, Martin Gore (Depeche Mode), Manni Dee, Machine Woman, Rommek and Tapefeed, OBSCUUR now brings us the vinyl issue of the EP which brings the pair's excellent work on to analog format. 

The artists explore, both in their collaborative and respective work, a wide spectrum of electronic and electroacoustic music with the practices of field recording and attentive listening at the core of their creative process. Inspired by musique concrète and electroacoustic sonic manipulations, they combine and alter sounds from the real, from their surroundings and from found (mainly metallic) objects. Stemming from this approach, they engage in rhythmical and textural research to elaborate a — peculiar, acousmatic and almost tangible — percussive and club-oriented music.

WLDV starts its activity in 2012 DJing and creating music based on synthesizers and inspired by the electronic music of the 70s, 80s and early 90s like Italo Disco, EBM, New Beat, Techno… with clear influences of the B movies, sci-fi, horror and fetish stuff.

He released vinyl and cassettes on labels such as Giallo Disco, Bordello A Parigi, Waste Editions, Violette Szabo, Soil Records, Eclectic Reactions, Cold Beats, Fill Lex Records, Infidel bodies, The Hiddens, Patch Records, 4mg Records, Italo Moderni… And many more. 
He also played several live and dj set performances around Europe and North America.

WLDV hosted and played as resident at the Vocoder Club parties from 2014 to 2019 and drives also the label Eclectic Reactions since 2014 together with Radithor.

Today on Meta Moto Premieres, we feature Hugo Dirac, a musician, DJ, and sound engineer from Düsseldorf, Germany. His music spans the spectrum of gritty electronic body music and techno, infused with a fierce electro flair. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and affinity for industrial soundscapes, Hugo crafts a futuristic yet raw sonic experience. He is a member of the Düsseldorf-based label "system ctl" and the non-profit organization "About Repetition."

"Glyph" marks Hugo Dirac's debut release, a striking blend of Electro and EBM. The track unfolds with dark, atmospheric layers, where mechanical precision meets organic complexity, exploring the tension between digital consciousness and systemic limits.
