This is the leadoff single from out latest album, Gaslight Alley. I was inspired to write it after reminiscing about a road trip up to the Catskills in New York one late summer some years ago. We usually avoided the interstate going up because it was always backed-up so we took a detour along th e Taconic Parkway which is a winding, bucolic motorway that meanders through some beautiful farm country in central New York state. I wanted to capture the feeling of heading up there in August with the breeze cutting across the windshield of a convertible and breathing in the mountain air. 
 Ironically, the band was actually midway through recording our intended sophomore effort after releasing our debut (which were more alternative/hard rock) when I started writing a handful of songs that had a countryesque, Americana flavor which led me to recording them in Nashville in 2021. While in Nashville, I was so inspired by Music City's vibe that I wrote 4 more songs while down there and 2 more when I came back to New York. What started as a side project turned into a full-blown album and two years later, here are the results!
