MC The Ant - Born & raised in the east-side of Holland, Twente, in a lil' chaotic town called: Enschede.

As a lil' girl Miranda loved to write a lot of poems, rhymes and poetry. After a couple of years listening to (old skool) hip hop music and thanks to a predisposition for rhythm and music, she started to write her own lyrics to rap on them! In 2007 the lyrics were all still in Dutch as she called herself 'Missy Miertje', but since 2010 she feels better rappin' in English as MC The Ant. The love for hip hop music was growing bigger after several performances and worked on music productions... so the beginning of The Ant has started!

The love for music developed because she can lose all her frustrations by writing them down, at the same time with the intention to let people know it is possible to bring up positivity out of negative experiences in life! She wants people to know we're all unique in our way of being and in telling our story; be yourself, share your story and do it YOUR way! MC The Ant has chosen to minimize cursing and swearing in her tracks, since it emphasizes the negativity instead of positivity and she wants to be an example for the children who may be listening.

MC The Ant - Geboren & getogen in het oosten van Nederland, Twente, in een kleine chaotische stad genaamd: Enschede.

Als klein meisje hield Miranda er al van om veel gedichten, rijmpjes en poëzie te schrijven. Na een aantal jaren te hebben geluisterd naar (old skool) hip hop muziek en dankzij een aanleg te hebben voor ritme en muziek, begon zij haar eigen teksten te schrijven om te gaan rappen! In 2007 waren de teksten in het Nederlands toen ze zichzelf 'Missy Miertje' noemde, maar sinds 2010 voelt zij zich beter door te rappen in het Engels als MC The Ant. De liefde voor hip hop muziek bleef groeien na een aantal optredens te hebben gedaan en gewerkt heeft aan muziek producties... dus het begin van The Ant was begonnen!

De liefde voor muziek heeft zich ontwikkeld doordat zij haar frustraties kwijt kan in het schrijven van teksten, met tegelijkertijd de bedoeling mensen te laten weten dat het mogelijk is om positiviteit naar boven te halen uit negatieve ervaringen in het leven. Zij wil mensen laten weten dat wij allen uniek zijn in het zijn van onszelf en in het vertellen van ons verhaal; wees jezelf, deel jouw verhaal en doe het op JOUW manier! MC The Ant heeft er voor gekozen om zo min mogelijk te schelden en te vloeken in haar tracks, daar het de negativiteit benadrukt i.p.v. positiviteit en daar zij een voorbeeld wil zijn voor de kinderen die eventueel mee luisteren.
