After nearly 5 years since his last release, Chabi Mas teams up with fellow Welkom producer and label mate, Dub L. Dadi to give us The Spirit Of Nextacy. 


This is an offering that follows themes of hope, ambition and self love. It's heavily drenched in the rugged sounds of the 90s, with a soulful twist to it. Chabi Mas experiments a lot and displays an even wider vocal range than he has before. Well-known for his multi- syllabic rhymes and striking imagery, Mas fails to disappoint as he fuses it with jazzy vocals and impeccable storytelling delivered through aggressive and sometimes, relaxed flows.  

This 5-track project was created over a span of 3 weeks and features a special guest appearance by Welkom rap veteran and one third of The Assembly, Lebo Mochudi. It was entirely produced and mixed by Dub L. Dadi. El Koka mastered the EP. 

The Spirit Of Nextacy aims to inspire the dreamers and heal the broken. It is a reminder to  believe in yourself, no matter the circumstances .
