The Los Angeles based producer leaps out of his more hip-hop and funk infused dance music comfort zone to speak to another, more intimate and chill mode of life. ‘The Chillout Sessions’ is notably more of a slow flow than his past work, featuring 10 tracks merging deep trap and chill wave. These beats were crafted with the dual purpose of listening while relaxing night or day, and to inspire lively movement while vibing out to an epic sunrise.

In June 2018, East Forest was invited to Ram Dass’ home in Maui to join in conversation and record brand new teachings from the legendary teacher. After capturing these words of wisdom, East Forest returned to his studio in the high desert of Southern Utah to compose the soundtrack to beautifully support each songs’ subject. In these new recordings, Ram Dass’ words speak masterfully to the modern challenges that so many face with technology, dark thoughts, the nature of soul and so much more. The new East Forest record also features guest appearances from the likes of Trevor Hall and Grammy nominated artist, Krishna Das, all framing Ram Dass’ teachings with contemporary voices and cementing the 87 year old spiritual teacher into an echelon of relevancy and immediacy — offering a direct antidote for a highly polarized nation that is deeply in need of a universal voice of wisdom, connection and unconditional love.

Funeral Suits are a four-piece from Ireland consisting of Brian James, Mik McKeogh, Greg McCarthy and Dar Grant. The music they make is expansive without being overblown, heavy without being menacing and all the more thrilling for its restraint. 

A shared love of epic, distorted guitars, blistering harmonius pop, art rock and
electronica led to the band spending the best part of two years holed up in a disused office space in deepest North County Dublin, writing, rehearsing and at times venturing out to play as special guests for Franz Ferdinand, Passion Pit, The Maccabees, Local Natives amongst others.

Funeral Suits have recorded their debut album 'Lily of the Valley' with acclaimed producer Stephen Street (Blur, The Smiths) which is due for release on Model Citizen records on June 1st in Ireland and June 4th everywhere else.
