Nicky Siano is the Master of Disco Soul. A pioneer of the dance music scene in the early seventies, Nicky was the owner/designer/DJ of the legendary seventies dance palace The Gallery and went on to become one of the original Studio 54 resident DJs. He worked the DJ booth at Bianca Jagger's infamous Studio 54 birthday party. He inspired and launched the careers of Grace Jones, D.C. La Rue, Loleatta Holloway, Larry Levan and Frankie Knuckles, to name a few.

Welcome to the Word Is Love Show and on the show it's a celebration of the Godfather of Dance music itself David Mancuso.

David invented the first "by invitation only" parties in New York City with the very first party "Love Saves The Day" in 1970 that went on to become The Loft. 

The show is the first part of 2 shows that celebrates the 50th anniversary of "Love Saves The Day".

Being thrown down is classic Disco, Funk, Rare Groove, Latin and Soul, plus a selection of Worldwide delights that David used to play.

Expect classic tracks by Earth Wind & Fire, Mr. Fingers, James Brown, Central Line and Eddy Grant. 

The mix was performed 'Shooting from The Hip', a style of cut mixing and blend mixing to give it that extra authenticity.

Welcome to Word Is Love show with what can only be described as a Disco and Funk groovin session with juicy tracks by David Lee AKA Joey Negro, The Reflex, Crazy P and Maurice Fulton plus a top selection of Disco Classics to boot! 

The show is a great mix of original disco tracks and remixes and has an uplifting vibe throughout. 

The show was recorded in Amsterdam out in Dutch nature under Dutch conditions and was meant to be the first show of a string of European dates I was set to play postponed because of Covid. The show must go on!
