The song tells the narrative of a woman who is complaining about her partner's apparent financial insolvency. She states that he was financially well off in 1922, but now has nothing. She claims it is because he wasted it on other women, and that these lovers will no longer show any interest in him now that he is poor. She claims that he tricked her into a relationship where all he has to offer her is "a drink of gin." She ends each verse asking why the man does not 'do right' by her, and then throws him out, insisting that he go earn a living in order to support her.

Dott Com & Bear Twists are getting all emosh - standing at the front of the boat declaring they're "Kings of the world!" Bloody Leo's already torn through the sails with his sabre, shouting "Hey You Guuuys!" at the top of his voice. But don't panic! The Captain has a steely grip on the wheel...or is it a tiller...hang about, where's he gone? What do you mean he's sexoring all the ladies with T-Pain and Posiedon?!! Who's steering this bloody thing?!

So we were playing ‘Dirty Dancing’ with Dephicit the other day - which essentially involves Summer Bright standing in the centre of the dancefloor whilst we run at her and she holds us up in the air like Patrick Swyaze holding aloft a beautiful swan. After about 6 hours Summer Bright said we were too heavy and could we stop but Dephicit screamed ‘Nobody puts Baby in the Corner!’ and ran at her again. Instead of lifting him up she created another dimension which he ran straight into it and is trapped there on the musical naughty step. My House

After a few years bopping from one dimension to the next, getting lost in the ether, the stars aligned and we found ourselves bumping into the one and only Captain Flatcap and his trusty magic pipe!

He was busy as usual collecting ducks and whistling his merriness to his lovely tribe of Flatcappers, yet he found the time to blow us in the right direction and we ended up back on earth stomping away in a field not too far from home together.

Having started this funky little drum and bass number before we went in search of the Purple Planet we set up shop back in the Devon Shire and had a go at finishing some noises once again...

We were close but something wasn't quite 'hitting different', so we called on our new found friend to see if he had a moment to lay down the ducks and flute things up for us. 

And with one puff of his magic pipe He Fluted and He Scored!!
So with the final piece of the puzzle  we set about to master this mix of plinks and plonks...

But it was too much! 

We couldn't get it to funk right!!

Determined not to give up we did the only thing you can in a funked up situation like this and went straight to the Church of Love, got on our knees and prayed to the Holy Father of Funk he would help finish us off...

It was a miracle, our prayers were answered, leaving us with less pants and more party!!

And that folks is the short story of how "He Flutes He Scores" became a smash hit in the Flute and Bass Chart!!

Massive Thanks to Captain Flatcap and Father Funk for making it possible, loads of love ya sexy funkers!!
