NTS just recently aired this mix, which is a special one for us, as this was recorded right after our first show after the reopening of Heideglühen here in Berlin. Such a mind blowing experience!

A few days later still buzzing from the energy of that gig, we went thru our bags and laid down this mix.

Coming to you live and direct from the Funky Seshwa at Good Room's hi-fi dancefloor, The Bad Room, we have an archived live dj mix from one of Brooklyn funkiest, Adeline! 

The mix is from February 20th, 2020 and features funk classics, soulful grooves, and some house that got the floor running at peak time before we had a live performance by Jitwam!

Adeline is a Paris-born, New Yorker, power house singer, songwriter, producer, and funky ass bass player. She just dropped a new single 'Twilight' that can be heard here:

Funky Seshwa Mix Series 003: Adeline (DJ Set) Live In The Bad Room 2.20.20

Definitely one of the illest mixes in the archive - we got the legendary Marley Marl live from our party with him on 3.28.19!

This mix is special because it takes Marley out of the box as not just a hip-hop DJ but an OG NYC staple DJ, playing the sounds that influenced him on his come up. Expect sounds from 1980's New York, classic funk + David Mancuso inspired tracks, and one of Marley's true loves: hard-hitting house music!... all with Marley's trademark turntable skills that make him one of NYC's finest party rockers.

Back from hiatus, the Seshwa mix series returns with episode 5 featuring the MAYOR of Mexico City's dance music scene, @Paurrro, for a solid 2 hours of peak-time house music!

Paurro has dedicated herself to sharing music as a DJ & cultural curator, creating spaces to elevate the artists in her community. Paurro is also well known for her allegiance to the LGBTQ+ community in Mexico and beyond.

She is the head of booking and programming at Aire Libre, Mexico City's eclectic radio station where she hosts a weekly show called Femme Soul.

A talent from an impossibly young age, Chicago producer and DJ Ron Trent began his musical career aged 14, the year he produced the febrile, wild Chicago anthem "Altered States". His production output has barely let up since, minting numerous labels and sub labels to release his and other's music, most notably Prescription Records, which helped define the smoky and jazz-indebted sound of deep house in the 1990s.
