London’s Passarella Death Squad return again this April with music on the ever-exciting Passarella Records. Led by Danny Passarella, the reputable group has previously released on Perc Trax, The Republic Of Desire and Days Of Being Wild, while also manning one of London’s top cult clothing brands.

Passarella Death Squad have described their own music as ‘a diverse combination of contemporary electronica and haunting beautiful songs’ and their ‘Creatures’ EP is exactly that. Joining them on remix duties are Dext and Fool’s Gold producer Nightwave, as well as Nation and MOS affiliate D’Marc Cantu.

‘Creatures’ presents a sinister, yet infectious bassline groove resting under pumping drums and the maleficent vocals of Emilie Albisser. Glasgow’s Nightwave’s version offers heavier drums, with the melody split between metallic synths and malleable sine waves, while D’Marc Cantu delivers unyielding techno drum grooves with squelchy acid bass.

'Captain Mustache. A DJ and producer with some fifteen years as a label manager, he arrives on Bordello A Parigi with a unique blend of electro spiked disco. The Parisian lands with a four tracker guaranteed to leave bodies and speakers aching with joy. Teaming up with Paul Play on vocals, “Special Friend” is a purely nocturnal affair. Smokey words sail above crisp percussion as laser beam synthlines lance a haze of early morning light. “Rhythm 55” is built on bold beats, the Captain slowly unfurling a sparkling melody that glimmers and shines next to burbling acid-tinged bass. A generous introduction gives way to toms and snipping snares for “Jean-Michel”, a beautiful tribute to synthesizer master Jean-Michel Jarre. Bright and clean, the track is steeped in a future-gazing optimism that palpably echoes through its vocoder. “Space Jowblob” brings our odyssey with Captain Mustache to a close, astral chords and beaming bars washed in starlight.'

Here comes the new Electrique Music release, directly from the deep grounds of Badajoz in Spain. They say the best is the rest, and the very well hidden guys from Gameboyz support the idea.
Their work is a mixture of cheesy dance music, distorted guitars from the hard rock era and harsh ¨canalla¨ lyrics that just a young macho from the Iberic Peninsula could think of. El Calor del Foco is an instant iberic-disco hit, with special vocals from Juana Gosa. El Baile Magico is a killer low tempo jewel, and El Toro is a mid tempo rock n´disco track that makes a pretty good homage to the national spanish animal and its well known private parts.

Eclectics, heterodox, energetics bus most of all Iberians. They are Gameboyz - the Spanish duet formed by Charlie (Carlos Franco) and Kali (Luis Vallespín) - two producers like two volcanos erupting. They are recognized because they are always looking to the future searching inspiration into the past. As a result they have published “Carne de Puerca”, “El Calor del Foco” or “Mucho Danger”. 

Their Live Acts are full of synths, vocals and effects and their adaptability is well known by their audience. Gameboyz was born in 2012 along with Da Well (Manuel Maidero) and they have played in several clubs as Apolo, Lanna Club, Razzmatazz, Siroco or La3.

They have also founded Melómana Records, their private sanctuary where they have published Alejandro Paz, Damon Jee, Stockholm Syndrome, Tronik Youth among others.
