Dream Escape marks the first collaborative release of Luis Leon and Haider Uppal as they explore their debut single into the realms of atmospherical and deep ventures. Embellished with rippling melodies that gently layer off each other, this production pulls you into an atmosphere driven break beat arrangement filled with one shots ranging from vocal delays to drum hits and textural finesses.

The broad and melodical soundscapes of the original are elevated into an alternative and trippy epic by Luca Bacchetti and his infamous 'Endless' Remixes. He tackles on the breakbeat groove with hard hitting slaps and dark, rumbling bassline rides, that builds the bases for a story-driven dancefloor re-imagination, filled with additional vocal pads and further textures that come crashing into a slapping arp lead.

Kermesse have been a regular feature of The Magic Movement after dropping their debut album on the label in 2018. The Limbo EP is the duo’s sixth release on the imprint. They have also featured their spellbinding style of stripped-back organic house on other highly respected record labels such as Sol Selectas, Bar 25 Music, Stil Vor Talent and LNDKHN.

“On The Road” is just as groovy, with a rippling modulating bassline featuring acid undertones and a deep melody washed in reverb to give it a dreamscape atmosphere.

“Limbo” opens with a plodding bassline and crisp percussion sequenced into shuffling rhythms which form the foundation for the track's trippy vocals and intricate melody.

“Melting” creates a bewitching feeling, psychedelic lyrics and a gleeful melody fill the track with heart-warming energy. Arguably saving the best until last, this is a standout track that will move mind, body and soul.

“Wawanko” is an upbeat and jovial track with lots of atmospheric textures and an uplifting melody that fills the track with feel-good vibes, while the percussion provides a dance floor focused groove.

Into Your Tribe (Remaster 2023) is a deeply enchanting tune with mid-tempo rolling drums, raw guitar licks, and tropical percussion under the soulful vocal. After a more chunky club mix comes a spine-tingling deep house rework by Bedouin complete with mystic synth leads and then a Nhii Remix offers something more textural and late night with cosmic synths bringing the tension. The Tebra Remix is another loose-limbed and deeper workout with an organic feel and steamy atmosphere. Into Your Tribe (Just Emma Sunset Remix) has a lumpy rhythm that rises and falls under the gorgeous original vocal, Into Your Tribe (Hicky & Kalo Remix) then takes things into the cosmos with more heavenly-sounding vocals and a rich array of lush synths, and a final Alternative mix brings some sleazy guitar riffs and a chanting vocal.

Born from a chance meeting in a dust storm at Burning Man, ‘Insight’ is the retelling of a classic Punjabi love story by award winning Surrey-based Pakistani-born producer Khanvict and stalwart California based producer Equanimous. On Monday night of Burning Man 2022, in the midst of a historic storm which saw the playa disappear for hours, Khanvict ran into Equanimous backstage at camp Ego Trip. The two forged a strong connection and decided to collaborate. Months later, Insight emerged from an online collaboration that pairs Khanvict’s cinematic sensibilities with Equanimous’ deft drum work to create a dance floor friendly West Coast-style bass workup.

This beautifully crafted remake of the classic Surinder Kaur song features Surrey-based vocalist Vishaljeet Kaur singing, in Punjabi:

“How do i wear kohl on my eyes..
when it’s you (who resides) in my eyes..
My Love.. Your face is ever present before me
Your name is on my lips..
You are in my eyes..”

Kicking off 2024 with his first A Tribe Called Kotori EP of the year, label boss Oliver Koletzki returns pedal to the metal. Titled 'La Hora de Mosquitos', this new colossus of a two-tracker treats us to an epic whirlwind of rolling techno and hypnotic house laced with a solid bit of 80s guitar solos.
 Ready to take any stadium by storm, the title-track hybridizes Koletzki's signature heavy-duty four-to-the-floor approach with a tang of Santana-esque Latin rock, glamour yet pensive, packing an equal amount of punch and cinematic dreaminess - which would honestly not feel out of place in a Michael Mann feature.
