Wowowowowowwwww what a night! I had the privilege to play a fundraiser for one of my favourite Burning Man crews, the Salty Jacks, at their fundraiser on June 4, 2022. It was an incredible night with amazing people and amazing vibes, and I joined a lineup of amazingly talented DJs, including local legends Mark Slee and Rachel Torro! Kamel Omais, better known as Dead-Tones, is a Parisian DJ/Producer who moved to LA to further pursue his career in music years ago. His production are extremely varied yet aim at “keeping the warmth of a musical past”. Being originally Lebanese growing up in Ivory Coast, he finds influences from a wide variety of genres ranging from synth pioneers such as Vangelis and Tangerine Dream as well as rhythm masters such as Fela Kuti or even Fairuz, a symbol of the Lebanese musical heritage. As we have delved into music the past weekend, we couldn't resist but to post another gem from The Monastery. Years before the start of The Gardens of Babylon, Audiofly, their music and events have inspired us in so many ways.

Both pioneers in our sound and industry joined us for our first festival and it turned out to be one of the few sets we stayed and listened from beginning to end. 

There's magic to be found in the creation of two musicians.. 
There's always magic in the creation of Audiofly.

Thierry Viti was born in Soresina on the 25th of November 1988. 
Since he was a little child, he gets asleep listening to the song “Zingarella” by Giuseppe Verdi. 
When he was 7, he received as a gift from the uncle his first guitar and since the beginning he tried to reproduce songs by Fabrizio De André, Battisti and Mina and soon he realized he loved expressing himself throughout music. 
Once, while rummaging through his father’s room, he found a Pink Floyd forty-five record and he immediately fell in love with this experimental music, which had nothing to do with pop music. 
From that moment on, he became increasingly curious: he listened to all the forty-five records and also discovered Jazz.
The same uncle who gave him a guitar as a present, watching the boy becoming increasingly interested in music, decided to buy him a professional keyboard for his 10th birthday. 
The following year he gave him a CD by Kraftwerk and this marked a turning point for the young boy, who became keen on electronic music, listening to all its different kinds.
During the following years Thierry has been collecting the various tools in order to be able to begin to create his own music and his first pieces. 
That’s the start of his carrier as a record producer.
