Dear friends, I'm grateful to share with you the recording of a morning session I had the pleasure to DJ on the cutest art car, Lucy S Cargo the colourful Sonic Snail 🌈  after sunrise on Friday AM at Burning Man 2024.

It was a sunny Friday morning on this love planet, smiling and taking life as it comes, lightly and playfully. 

I was so glad to DJ alongside @christianvoldstad and after my brother @dextercrowe who was soundtracking his first sunrise session on the playa so beautifully! I recommend you start with his set so you can hear the earlier chapter of this sunrise journey.

"Mayan Warrior, midnight, on a beautiful Wednesday night. An unofficial G camp takeover with all our camp mates playing one after the other on the new beautiful Galaxyer. I had stopped a couple of days earlier to check the new art car and I couldn't be more excited to play. For this set, I wanted my sound to honor how Mayan has influenced me over the years - guitars, indie dance, spacey sounds - but I also wanted to bring a bit of how my sound has changed lately, after regular visits to play in Berlin and also a new love for high bpm house music. I felt great when I stepped in. I wanted to be aggressive and I did: Played many new tracks, took some quirky turns and risked the mixing. As with every set, it is hard to take it out of context but It shows exactly how I felt that night. I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed it back then.

Thank you Asaf, Jenia, for the unreleased beauties!! Thank you to the Mayan family for creating such an insane platform for expression, I know how much hard work goes on behind the scenes!

“A burst from a very special moment. It was a true pleasure to play my live set on the new Mayan Warrior mutant car, Galaxyer at sunrise on Saturday. You know, there are always stories behind moments like these; funny, bitter, exciting and interesting. But sometimes words aren’t necessary, in this case I’d like for the music to speak for me. 

Many of the songs in this set are taken from my upcoming album « In Mind » out in February on @dafnerecords. I can’t wait to share them with you.

Roderic (live) - Mayan Warrior - Burning Man 2024

Burning Man, Maxa, you are magic! This year marked my third time playing at the majestic Maxa deer, and every moment felt like a dream. This was a very special set for me, I opened with an excerpt of a piano piece composed by my mom, a deeply meaningful and personal tribute. It was also the debut of tracks from my upcoming album, including the closing song, “Sailing to the Moon,” a track that evokes the essence of the personal journeys we all embark on.

Throughout my musical journey, I’ve often reflected on my sonic identity. In this ongoing quest to define what Le Président sounds like, I truly feel like this set  embodies and represents my sound as it stands today.

This year, I also had the privilege of playing alongside underneath above the Maxa deer during Temple Burn, accompanying the incredible performances of Unders, Zohar, and Jac Hoja,  an unforgettable moment of profound connection.

Thank you for being part of this journey, and for allowing me to share these moments with you under the beautiful desert sky. 🌌✨

A heartfelt thanks to Neto, Marty, and the entire Maxa family for having me and making this experience unforgettable.

In the past 9 years of our Babylon Family, we’ve witnessed extraordinary transformations within our community. The Gardens have always been a place to plant seeds of passion, and grow, all while being supported by the love of our Babylon Family.

Today, we want to celebrate our dear Girra. From owning the dancefloor to being an active volunteer for our decoration setups—whether at events or the main festival weekend—Girra has always embodied the spirit of Babylon. He turned his love for music into a true calling. 

At The Night Sky, the time arrived that he took over the Babylon stage for the very first time. He truly blew our minds! What a phenomenal performance! His talent is undeniable—from flawless track selection to a strong stage presence, Girra delivered an in-cre-di-ble show. This man truly has it all!
