Words can't describe yet another sunrise of epic proportions this time at the C.A.M.P. (Calling all Magical People) co-created gathering. Right at the beginning of my DJ set at 4:30 am on July 4th (US Independence Day) the cops showed up to try to shut the party down due to noise complaints.

I had the difficult task of keeping the decibel levels under a certain threshold, so I had to nurture a huge dance floor for the closing set of the festival until 7am somewhat quietly until we were able to ramp up the volume to proper dance floor levels.

I am not sure if it was that we all wanted this so badly, or the majestic rays of sunshine coming down upon us, all I know is that 17 encore songs & tracks after the supposedly closing "Lovely Day" song, we kept raving and raging until we almost dropped.

One of the most memorable mornings in my 21 years of DJ'ing. Here's the recording of the full 4.5 hrs of the closing sunrise DJ set. I hope it takes you all back and for those of you who weren't there I hope it brings you the sunrise  joy and magic we collectively had.

Isaiah Martin has been an integral part of programming the music for PlayAlchemist for years and is our Music Maestro for the annual Alchemist Ball. This year he invited Marieme and Snow Raven to perform live with him and the magic inside the pyramid was electric! Their set was completely unrehearsed and a pure flow state of music. At The Night Sky, the time arrived that he took over the Babylon stage for the very first time. He truly blew our minds! What a phenomenal performance! His talent is undeniable—from flawless track selection to a strong stage presence, Girra delivered an in-cre-di-ble show. This man truly has it all!

When it comes to fresh talent, Retrofract is without a doubt one of the top names in our roster. The British producer, based in Spain for a few years, has an outstanding ability for mixing oldschool nostalgic House melodies with sunkissed laid-back grooves, making waves on different labels as well as his own Retrofracted Records. We are so proud to host his most beach-friendly productions, this time with 2 tracks included on his 'Dreams Of Y2K' EP. 

The Original Mix is a delicious, smooth Chill House track, where a dreamy vocal flies over a catchy piano loop that immediately catches your attention. The B-Side is a secret gem, as we are re-releasing his track 'Got To Happen' alongside Lucia Silvestro and Mikka Bouzu. A downtempo journey, with a strong balearic influence on its relaxed drums and warm bass proving once again that when a talented producer meets the right musicians, only magic can happen.

On the remix duties, Deephope returns home elevating the title track to a new Deep House landscape. A more hypnotic bassline and synthy melodies takes the original track on a more early dancefloor territory, balancing this release smoothly showcasing the big variety on the music we love.
