This is Toots and the Maytals’ first ever recorded acoustic set, performed at Island Records founder Chris Blackwell’s property overlooking Kingston. The album includes a bonus DVD documentary (‘Reggae Got Soul’), featuring rare live footage from Toots’ unforgettable performance at Rockpalast in 1981, and special liner notes contributed by Grace Jones.
 
The album was recorded at sunset with the Blue Mountains providing the stunning backdrop. The gorgeous, sun-kissed acoustic session depicts a soulful and intimate side to revered classics like ‘Funky Kingston’, ‘Pressure Drop’ and ‘54-46’.
