Love the emotional delivery on this one.  The vocals sit right in the pocket and the drums support the storytelling.  Feels like a late-night drive track that sticks with you.

This is a song I wrote many years ago. It spoke about a relationship I would have with a younger woman.  I  always assumed it was for my x wife whom I was 9 years her senior. It called ‘I Think You’re Beautiful’. True love is known by the fruit it produces

This song is the result of a team work with the always brilliant Marc Freak, a prolific musician, author, photographer, and oddity. I am an outspoken fan of his fantastic work (two of my favorite songs are by him). His music is definitely worth a closer look:

The phrase "perfect is the enemy of good" is an aphorism commonly attributed to Voltaire in 1770, but even he was apparently quoting an Italian proverb that had been around for a while.  It seemed to me to be a good idea for a song.

Die Wahrheit, die keiner hören will:
Leben heißt Veränderung. Ja, danke für die Info, Universum! 🙄 Wir wissen alle, wie hart das ist. Manchmal steht man im Leben da und denkt: "Okay, ich starte jetzt durch!"... und 5 Minuten später stolpert man schon wieder. (Aber hey, der Trick ist ja, wieder aufzustehen – manchmal sogar schon am Start. Profi-Tipp!)

Die Storytelling-Challenge (AKA: Der Refrain):
Mal ehrlich: Am Ende bleiben nur Geschichten. Was erzählst du dir selbst? Bist du der Hauptdarsteller in der epischen Saga deines Lebens, oder die traurige Randfigur, die nur Popcorn hält (die Geschichte eines Narren)?

Wir haben uns alle schon mal ins Aus katapultiert oder an der falschen Ecke abgebogen. War vermutlich eine Abkürzung, die wir auf Google Maps nicht gesehen haben. 🤷‍♀️ Aber keine Sorge, es muss nicht immer strahlend sein! Wir schreiben unsere eigene Story, auch wenn sie Ecken und Kanten hat. Und hey, Risiko = Glück. (Vorsicht, könnte Spuren von echtem Leben enthalten.)

Fazit:
Ein Umweg ist nur eine sehr lange Abkürzung. Wenn du gerade auf einem steinigen Weg bist, dich fragst, wie du hierhergekommen bist, und dringend einen Soundtrack für deine nächste Wiederaufsteh-Aktion brauchst, bist du hier richtig.
