After discovering his wife's infidelity, the Sultan decided to kill each of his wives the day after their wedding to prevent a potential betrayal. To save his life and that of other women, Scheherazade began telling stories that fascinated him every night, always ending them when they piqued his curiosity. This led the Sultan to spare her, and over time, he fell in love with her. The piece captures this extraordinary relationship, full of tension but also a gradual warmth and understanding. In the background, there's a sense of oriental magic, mystery, and the power of stories that have endured for centuries. This is a story about the power of words, wisdom, and love that arises where we least expect it. The lyrics offer hope that untamed and deadly force can be transformed into love, and that one should never give up, even when the situation seems hopeless.
