In the quiet town of Fell’s Hollow, there was once a child known for her innocent, yet eerie presence. Cloaked in white silk with a hood drawn over her face, she rarely spoke, but her sad eyes captured the sympathy of those who saw her. Despite her delicate appearance, rumours whispered of a dark tragedy that plagued her life—a secret she carried like the weight of her silk cloak.

One day, the townspeople found her body, lifeless and alone, in the woods just beyond the village. She had been betrayed by those she trusted, cast aside to die. No one came to her aid, except for a small spider, who crawled upon her fragile frame and spun a web in her final moments. When they buried her, they thought that would be the end of it. But her story was far from over.

Soon after her death, strange things began to happen. The people who had wronged her—the ones who had whispered, plotted, and stood by in silence—started disappearing. Some said they saw glimpses of a girl in white silk, her hood drawn over her face, just before the shadows swallowed them whole. No one knew for sure, but one thing became clear: the child had returned, and she was no longer the innocent girl they had once known.

The Child of Silk was now a spirit of vengeance. She commanded the spider who had witnessed her death, using it to weave webs around the lives of those who had wronged her. She sought no forgiveness, only retribution. And as her legend grew, the town became consumed with fear. The townsfolk told their children never to venture out at night, for the Child of Silk wandered the streets, waiting to punish those who deserved her wrath.

Yet even the innocent feared her. Though she would never harm them, her ghostly presence unsettled their hearts. The faint rustle of silk, the chilling touch of spider legs creeping through the dark—these were the signs that the Child was near. She was a nightmare they could not escape, even though they had done no wrong.

The only way to survive her wrath was never to see her. Legend said that if you caught a glimpse of the Child of Silk beneath her white hood, the spider would mark you as her next victim. Her curse would follow you, day and night, until the silken threads of fate wound tightly around you, sealing your doom.

The guilty tried to escape her grasp, fleeing to other towns and cities, but none could outrun her vengeance. The Child of Silk, bound to the spider who had witnessed her death, would always find them. And when she did, she watched coldly, her eyes hidden beneath her hood, as the spider carried out her will.
