Astropolis is pleased to reveal a second various EP on its sublabel DÔME, this young label that highlights the local scene with a panorama of sounds and atmospheres. For this second release, let’s dive into a voodoo narration with NZE NZE (UVB76 x Sacred Lodge), 440Hz, Shelter and Pi Doom.

Second track is by PiDOOM from Rennes and now Odessa-based and member of Система collective. Also known as Knappy Kaisernappy, PiDOOM is an angry fictional character, half monk, half knight, leading a sonic crusade based on sampling, to express her refusal of religious obscurantism. A music that is articulated around melodic phases, mashcore and extratone. On « Slap Py » she delivers one of her sound fictions with field recordings, her own narrations and ambient atmospheres. A little excursion on the black sea with dark incantations.

PI DOOM is a live side project by multi-disciplinary artist Elsa Quintin. Discovered on Astropolis 2015, the Rennes-based artist moved to Odessa in Ukraine, from where she continues to explore her thousand and one ways of assembling sounds with система, an artistic collective dedicated to experimental music and adventurous live performances, while maintaining a strong link with her birthplace, notably with the Lostsoundbytes label, a monthly residency on Rinse France and memorable radical and epileptic performances such as at the last Visions (France) edition. She’ll be performing live at Astropolis ‘En Attendant la Rave’ July 9th and 10th at La Carène.
