We mourn the loss of life, and then we try to move on. We recover.

Eventually, another wave of grief will no doubt crash upon us once again.

This time, we will have nothing to recover back to. We drown."

The first LP by Thegn, ‘Loss’ explores the effects that sudden loss of a loved one has on our lives, and the effects of delayed grief. Whether we lose someone in a violent crash, a senseless overdose crisis, or a loved one changed to the point we hardly recognize them anymore, these fractures can be nearly irreparable. How many friends will we lose before we ourselves become wholly irreparable? How many fractures will we sustain before we shatter?

As the World Canvas mix series’ second chapter we have the pleasure to release a collaborative mix by Danish musicians Tristan (Frederik Heidemann) and Piag3t (Martin Hasfeldt). 
Their deeply personal mix takes the listener on a journey through vivid and idiosyncratic soundscapes, invoking feelings of longing and hopefulness: Memories of friends and loved ones during the times of isolation and uncertainty.

World Canvas Mix 02: Tristan & Piag3t

With mimikry, his new release on the Intl’ Winners Collective label, treibgut aka Fabian Lanzmaier is refining his work on amorphous sounds. A maze into surreal surroundings of organic structures in constant movement and disruption. Sounds bend until they breach, metallic timbres alter between percussive and tonal, forming musical gestures that fuse together, shaping narrative-like compositions. 

Against any style Lanzmaier uses electroacoustic tactics and physical modeling to blur the listeners perception of closeness and distance, tension and looseness.

Re:Conceive is a collection of tracks from artists living in Tiohtiá:ke:, so-called 'montréal', which is raising money for The Native Women's Shelter and The Just Solutions Clinic. It aims to activate solidarity between indigenous peoples, settlers, immigrants and refugees alike. Electronic music is a potent conduit in this process, in reclaiming space where just realities might be cultivated or imagined. With the arrival of the rising global tide of right wing politics in 'québec', and the unaddressed history and continuance of colonialism and structural white supremacy in 'canada' at large, it is high time that we reconceive of our history, our present, and our way forward.

All revenue generated by this compilation will be donated 50/50 to The Native Women's Shelter of Montréal and The Just Solutions Clinic.

Re:Conceive est une collection de pièces d’artistes habitant Tiohtiá:ke, appelée «montréal». Le but de cette initiative est de lever des fonds pour The Native Women's Shelter of Montreal et l’organisme Clinique des Solutions Justes. 
Ce projet à pour but d’activer la solidarité entre les peuples autochtones, les colonisateurs, les immigrants de même que les réfugiés. For each episode, a musician and a visual artist from the Global URL Nation collaborate to develop the story with audiovisual material - a 1h mix and a visual cover, which then serve as a base for written text. Each month, we will post here and on our website a new chapter meant to be heard, seen and read.
