Bringing the heat for the 10th edition of the Westival selects series is Late night Shopper's Allecto. Here are some words from the man himself on the mix.

"Along with every other DJ I know, I’ve had a very frustrating year, consisting of building sets and buying tunes that are longing to be played on a big sound system to a sweaty crowd, but currently are restricted to mixes and radio slots. A shining light at the end of the tunnel has always been the hope that I would be playing my first festival set in the summer, so I’m over the moon that I’m releasing what is undoubtedly one of my best sets on their mix series. 

The mix is a whirlwind ride from 135-170bpm, playing loads of different genres, and even chucking an acapella in there for good measure. I put a lot of effort into this, and I really can’t remember any mix I’ve done that I’m happier with.

West Midlands based selecta @Werdna-Rox, self titled Multi-Genre Blender, shakes up the club at every given moment by seamlessly blending through an everlasting artillery of dark, heavy & beautifully influential music, using diversity in genre's & selection as a key part in making his sets inclusive to the masses. 

At his roots he's known as the head of Birmingham's UK Bass label @Circular-jaw providing party crews in the city with leftfield sounds and grimey club sets since 2015. This mix follows suit with dubs, exclusives and an overall weighty sound.

This week on the Pick ’N’ Mix series Em Cee Kay presents a fluid mix that reflects the murky, intimate club nights he has been involved in as part of the Scottish group Wax Collective. Gliding through seamless blends of dubstep, downtempo and left-field techno, Em Cee Kay has curated an intelligent and stylish mix that provides periods of intense energy as well as cathartic spells of soothing calmness.
