🌟 **Unveiling Divine Messengers: Christmas Encounters** 🌟

In this heartwarming Christmas service, our Senior Pastor, Revd Dr Femi Paul took us on a journey through the book of Luke and Matthew, revealing the profound encounters with angels, messengers of the Most High God, who heralded the birth of our Savior. The key scriptures that illuminated his message were Luke 1:11-15a, 18-19, Luke 1:26-37, Luke 2:8-14, and Matt 1:18-24 (NIV).

Through these accounts, Pastor Femi unveiled the power of these celestial beings, who proclaimed their presence with the comforting words, *"Do not be afraid."* Just as the angel assured Zechariah, *"Your prayer has been heard,"* Pastor Femi emphasized the fulfillment of promises through divine messengers.

In Verse 18 Zechariah asked the angel, “How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.” The angel answered, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this Good News.

Fast forward to Six months after, the Angel Gabriel this time visiting Mary proclaimed the good news to her as follows: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the Holy One to be born will be called the Son of God.  Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. 
For nothing is impossible with God.”

As we reflect on these angelic visitations, may we find comfort in the promises of God and embrace the joy and delight that the Good News brings. Let Acts 12:11 resonate in our hearts, knowing that the Lord sends His angels to us, guiding and rescuing us from the unexpected.

In our Super Sunday Service, Pastor Femi Paul led us in a powerful message centered around Deuteronomy 30:8-9a (MSG):

*"And you will make a new start, listening obediently to GOD, keeping all His commandments that I'm commanding you today. GOD, your God, will outdo Himself in making things go well for you: and you will enjoy an all-around good life."*

With fervor and conviction, our Senior Pastor charged the congregation: "If today you decide to make a new start, then God, your God, will make you enjoy an all-around good life!"

As a church we joined in prayer:

**So that you can grant me a great 2024!**

**Lord, as this year ends, I make up my mind to start listening obediently to your Word.**  

**Help me, Holy Spirit, to remain attentive and obedient to the Word of God and the will of God throughout 2024.**

**Father, as I listen to you obediently, make things go well for me at work and at home, financially and materially, spiritually and physically. In Jesus' name, I pray!**

Today, Pastor Yomi Badejo-Okusanya continued The Kingdom, Power & Glory! series with a recap of the seven powers discussed last meeting and focused on today's theme, The Glory. Referencing John 17:22, he emphasized that Jesus has given believers the glory He received from the Father so that we may be united as one. Pastor Yomi shared how God’s glory empowers and unites His people, creating a reflection of heaven on earth.

He concluded with a powerful prayer from Psalm 24:7-10: “Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.”

At today’s Youth Sunday Service, Pastor Femi Paul delivered a timely exhortation titled “The Blessing of Always Knowing What to Do.” Speaking directly to the youth and extending the charge to the entire church, he emphasised that divine guidance is one of the greatest blessings a believer can have. Drawing from Proverbs 3:6, he reminded us that when we acknowledge God in all our ways, He promises to direct our paths and show us the right way to go.

PFP encouraged the congregation not to be shaken by life’s taunts and discouragements, as reflected in Psalm 42:10–11. Instead, he urged us to expect God to act, because our help and confidence are anchored in Him. Citing 1 Samuel 30:8, he highlighted David’s example of inquiring of the Lord before taking action, which led to total recovery. He stressed that wisdom, clarity, and victory always follow when we seek God first. 

This message reminded us that walking with God positions us for direction, recovery, and breakthroughs. Indeed, the blessing of always knowing what to do keeps us ahead in life’s battles and ensures we never walk in confusion but in divine clarity.
