Vienna-based band Portobello Express are like a time portal into the golden age of the Psychedelic Heavy Blues Rock , exploring a sound that has its roots in the late 60s and early 70s and harnessing that era’s unique, raw energy whilst paying homage to their multicultural roots. “Portobello” is both a reference to London’s famed Portobello Road, the psychedelic mushrooms of the same name and singer Betty’s Italian heritage, whereas “Express” is a neat reference to “espresso” - an Italian staple - and trains and their sheer power. The band has evolved to become a force that reminds us what it was like when Psych & Heavy Rock were in their heyday, with a powerful stage presence that unites the room.


Embarking on a melodic journey, Alistair C Jones weaves songs that transcend mere notes  they encapsulate the very essence of life. His musical awakening traces back to the echoes of Jailhouse Rock, a rhythmic revelation initiated by his father. Enchanted by the snare's call and The King's majesty,

 Alistair was captivated from a tender age. His quest for musical discovery led him to the world of rap at 16, where the fascination with samples unravelled a path to Blue Note Records and beyond.

Influenced by icons such as Aretha Franklin, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Marley, Eric Clapton, and Tina Turner, sculpted his artistic path, infusing his compositions with a rich tapestry spanning Blues, Rock, and Soul.

The spotlight found Alistair on a stage with his guitar where he played for over 3000 souls at a local festival, to the bustling clubs and bars of Birmingham, UK, where his drumming reverberated after signing with a record label, propelling him onto the pulsating streets of San Francisco USA, including iconic spots on Haight Ashbury.

Thrilled by an impending collaboration with Sphire, Alistair is set to release a captivating episode blending guitar, piano, and drums. Featuring tracks like 'Let's Fall in Love' and 'Summer Love,' Soon resonating across streaming platforms and download stores. In a world yearning for harmony,
