Keeping in tune with the vapid, shallow, entirely materialistic tone that colors the narrator’s sentiments, he croons about the selfishness and fame-seeking behavior that is common to those in the entertainment game… I was one of those people..

What I chose to do resulted in me losing who would have been my wife, as well as the desire for one. Chasing fame at all costs consumed me and injured me forever possibly..
