The songs on "Seek the Love You're Yearning" reflect my belief that everyone can find the courage to reject their past neglect and abuse, which may hold them back from finding their heart's desire. 

The album represents a seven-year transition to being a singer-songwriter. Before this, I just played the instrumental guitar. “Guitar Poet” is a well-earned moniker after 20 years with International Guitar Night. 

I’m grateful to be joined by Greg Leisz (pedal steel), Michael Manring (bass), Charlie Bisharat (violin), and Dan Lutz (bass) on this release. Thanks to Rob Griffin for the final mixes and Harold LaRue for mastering. 

Also, huge thanks to Jim Kimo West. He arranged and recorded the songs featuring Greg, Charlie, and Dan. He also provided production advice and support.

Time - left me forlorn- out on my own

The Northern Lights

For those turning to music for solace, "No Going Back," by Brian Gore and Grammy winner Jim Kimo West, expresses the hope for finding the strength to move forward, even amid life's ashes. Written from the perspective of a Maui fire survivor, this song was originally intended as a metaphoric look at the smoky ruins of a relationship. In light of the fires in Los Angeles, where Kimo West, who is also the guitarist for Weird Al, resides, the lyrics now take on an eerily prophetic tinge. The song, hauntingly beautiful and sadly prescient, is now also a reflection on the sheer scale of tragedy facing fire victims in California. All online sale proceeds are to be donated to the LA fire victims.

They numb their sorrow

Like a crazy prayer for justice

As a singer songwriter, he expanded his palette to include harp guitar, foot drums, and percussion. Brian’s singer songwriter debut, Seek the Love You’re Yearning, features legendary pedal steel player Greg Leisz, and bassist Michael Manring.

Brian performs solo, in double bills with Michael Manring, Grammy Winner Jim Kimo West, and Canada’s Itamar Erez. He also recently founded Worlds of Song, a show similar to IGN, but featuring singer-songwriters. It will debut in 2025 on the US West Coast with Brian, Badi Assad, Fabiola Mendez, and Hubby Jenkins. In 2026, the show will tour Europe with Brian, Badi, Loah, and Laura Silverstone..
