Orgone is an 8-piece soul machine driven by Dan Hastie and Sergio Rios, once two kids from the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles united by a hunger for raw soul recordings.  While the musicians began by covering Booker T. & the MGs, The Meters, and other giants of soul, they eventually carved out a sound all their own.  Drawing on their love of Funkadelic, Santana, Muscle Shoals, and all things Stax, the duo sought to create the band that, if they were to hear for the first time, would be their instant favorite.  After living and working as session musicians for many years, they were still unable to find a studio that adequately captured their warm, gritty sound, so they decided to make one.  KillionSound Studios was hand-crafted as Orgone’s hub and home studio where they continue to create (including playing on a handful of Grammy-winning songs), rehearse, and record with Rios at the helm as chief engineer and Hastie as co-producer.

By teaming up with fiery soul singer Adryon de León, the band discovered the secret weapon that would take their sound to new heights.  With de León, Hastie on keys, Rios on guitar, and drummer Sam Halterman as the backbone, a deeply-rooted family of LA musicians makes up the rest of Orgone— Dale Jennings, bass, Will Phillips, percussion, Darren Cardoza, trombone, and JJ Kirkpatrick, trumpet.

The band’s never-ending lust for music - with Hastie, also a DJ, as head crate-digger - keeps them passionate about bringing new (and vintage) inspiration into the studio to produce the analog California Soul realness that Orgone stands for.

Orgone’s live show is fueled by appreciation for their ferocious, loyal fans and any and everyone who wants to get fired up, turned on, and sweat until they surrender.  The true voice of Orgone is raw soul and deep funk delivered honestly, always non-GMO and preservative-free.

Bryan C. Simmons is a talented and dynamic artist with an undying passion and good ear for music. 

Born in Vallejo, California - a culturally rich community of music and musicians, 
Bryan is deeply influenced by all genres of music, but his love for Jazz and Hip Hop outshines it all. For over ten years now, Bryan has made a name for himself as an accomplished professional keyboardist in demand. He is known for the passionate manner in which he fleshes out his flawless musical arrangements that creates memorable, heartfelt rhythms. The reason music-passionate people find him to be original. One of the major highlights of his career includes being on a world tour with three-time Grammy Award-winning artist Fantastic Negrito in 2018 and 2019, playing at several sold-out festivals at both national & international levels.

Founded in 2000, the collective known as Jazz Mafia is one of the most ubiquitous names in innovate music on the West Coast, including such artists as: The Shotgun Wedding Quintet, Realistic Orchestra, Joe Bagale, Jazz Mafia Symphony, Brass Bows & Beats and founder Adam Theis. 
 This talented group of musicians seamlessly combines Latin polyrhythms, boom-bap rhymes, melancholy ballads, swinging jazz and blistering solos, while at the same time adhering to symphonic structural elements. All spun together in the spirit of a Jazz Era big band- but conducted with a maestro's sense of timing, timbre, and mood- the experience is akin to watching the New York Philharmonic back a street corner B-Boy battle in the heart of downtown Oakland.

The "Brass, Bows & Beats" premiere sold out two shows at the Palace Of Fine Arts as well a sold out a six-show run at Yoshi's in San Francisco. The 60 piece incarnation of Jazz Mafia's "Brass, Bows & Beats" that premiered at the Palace of Fine Arts was recorded and released as a live album in June 2010. 2010 has been a break through year for Jazz Mafia, with performances at the Newport Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, Playboy Jazz Festival (Hollywood Bowl), and the Monterey Jazz Festival. 

The original 60-piece Palace ensemble can be pared down to a tighter core of 40 to accommodate and emphasize more intimate settings. The piece marks a coming of age for The Jazz Mafia as a new voice in composition. Jazz Mafia Symphony is a monumental achievement displaying an exciting barrage of compositional elements, which the composers ingeniously weave together through a complex blend of skill, talent and courage. An eager and quickly growing global audience awaits their further contributions. A creative force on the Bay Area music scene for more than a decade, the loose-knit band of jazz cats, MCs, arrangers and composers known collectively as The Jazz Mafia, is fast emerging as the most prolific musical organization on the West Coast. Launching some of the Bay Area's most innovative and stylistically expansive ensembles, these musicians contribute their varied talents to a cross-cultural mix of new beats and melodies, blended with instrumental virtuosity. The Jazz Mafia Horns have recorded in the studio with Carlos Santana and backed artists such as Zion-I, KRS One, and Thomas Dolby.
