Golden Newbies is a tribute mixtape to conscious hip hop. It is inspired by the work of legendary lyricists and profound producers from Marshall Mathers, Black Thought, the Fugees and Mos Def, to Scott Storch and Dr Dre. This passion project is based on 15 years of musical study, 10 years of friendship and 8 hours of recording. Golden Newbies is the audio manifestation of a brotherhood between Gabriel "The Hobbyist" Ally and Tim "Mr Right" Wright. This mixtape is designed to inspire aspiring young rappers to delve into the rich history of hip hop and discover the power of the genre to move people - both emotionally and physically.
