El Búho is a UK producer now based Mexico City whose music draws the lines between electronic production, found sounds & organic samples and Latin American rhythms and folklore. He has released music on ZZK Records, Antartek Records and his latest EP Cenotes through Wonderwheel recordings and remixed for the likes of Chancha Via Circuito, Nicola Cruz, Tremor, Luzmila Carpio, Lucas Santana and Lulacruza amongst others

As well as curating the album A Guide to the Birdsong of South America he is also one of the co-founders of the Shika Shika with Argentine producer Barrio Lindo. He is currently working on his first LP.

This mix is 40 minutes of unreleased material, edits, remixes and music made specifically for Voodoohop!

I used to release a regular mixtape called Rhythm and Roots presenting inspirations and new tunes from around the world - digital crate digging. I don't have time to keep up with Rhythm and Roots anymore but I miss making mixtapes and presenting the incredible music coming out of bedrooms and studios from Germany to Ghana. A lot of tracks new and old, juxtaposed, overlaid, edited, melted together :)

Who's That Knockin At My Door?

The Hokum High Rollers were formed in New Orleans, LA in the winter of 2011. Their sound is derived mainly by influence of Pre WWII Country Blues performers but played with the energy of their punk rock roots. Based out of New Orleans they can be found busking and performing at various venues. They also like to tour so keep an eye out, they may be in a town near you!
