Melbourne based two-piece grunge-punk band From Oslo are excited to reveal their new single ‘No Sound’ and video for the track. The single is taken from the bands forthcoming EP which they recently finished recording in Melbourne and is set for release in the coming months. ‘No Sound’ is a big step forward for the new Melbourne band and has already scored multiple spins on Triple J and received a 4-star review from Richard Kingsmill stating, “They have the hooks to match the power”.

The band are also excited to announce they have recently signed to growing music company Habit who will release the EP via their recently launched label division. Habit is known for discovery and managing artist such as Big White and Bad//Dreems, as well as operating one of Australia’s leading public relation companies who have worked with the likes of Grenadiers, Caroline Australia, Spunk Records, Kobalt Label Services, Yak, Hockey Dad, Drunk Mums and many more.

From Olso are Joshua De Laurentiis and Joel Penman who first started kicking around together in 2013. The duo's debut release came out in January 2015 and immediately caught the attention of Triple J Unearthed, with "Straight to Hell" being added to rotation and Part Two of the Core Soundwave Series. Soon after, "Reputation" nabbed a spot on the Featured Playlist, and continued to receive high rotation on Triple J Unearthed more than three months later.

The band then returned to the studio, this time with up-and-coming producer Jez Giddings (Clowns, Sincerely Grizzly) and in April 2015 released “Faking the Benz” which went on to receive regular spins on Triple J Unearthed and touted as “Fast and Furious: Melbourne Drift” (Dave Ruby Howe, Triple J) and a “bloody thumper” of a tune (Max Quinn, Triple J).

The latest single ‘No Sound’ demonstrates maturity in the band’s direction, with bold, in-your-face production likened to Royal Blood and DZ Deathrays and will see 2016 be a big year for From Oslo.
