“We like it” was born in a late night  studio session
during the Tour summer 2021, after a long quarantine time when we where finaly able to bring out the Soundsystems and realising how essential and good it is to see people dancing and having fun again!

Après un album sorti il y a 12 ans, après plusieurs autres collaborations, de nombreuses sorties avec leur groupe Sparky Riot, 4bstr4ck3r et Daman sont de retour !
Pour l'occasion, ils ont concocté un rub a dub aux teintes early digital, aux sonorités modernes et pêchues.
Nommé Love, le titre est une ode à la découverte et à l’amour. Pour rappeler qu’il peut se trouver à chaque coin de rue, qu'il est le fruit de nos curiosités et de notre soif de rencontre.

NPK is a composer with Norman origin. He is now based near Bordeaux where he cultivates a French Dub with the inspiration of artists like Panda Dub, Miniman, Mahom or THK… He produces an Electro Dub with powerful rhythms, going through Dub Chill to the most furious Dub Stepper, with bewitching melodies and a very percussive Bass / Drums. In 2020, he released his first opus "Vadrouille" on Marée Bass label before to release "Dub En Ville" on Culture Dub Records in 2021. It was a music filled with sensitivity in which the artist invites you to wander!

As we approach the end of the year we enter a time of reflection. So, just before we head off and blast into 2014 we give you Thanks And Praises.

We give thanks for everyone that spread the love and praise all DJ's supporting us.
We give thanks for all our releases and praise all labels and artists we got to work with.
We give thanks for every gig we played and praise everybody that came to see us. 
We give thanks for friends that joined us on the journey and the friends we made on it. 
We give thanks for an amazing year and praise whomever had a part in this.

One can only hope next year will be just as good as this one has been, but we'll certainly kick off nicely with the release of Scavenger and we got more things to share with you very soon. Peace and love out to everybody keeping it real around the globe and remember: it's sound, not hype.

Biography
"Few facts about the origins of dubstep are widely accepted - but two or three stand out in my mind as certainties. 

The fact that the sound originated from South London. The fact that labels like Big Apple, DMZ and Tempa were crucial in supporting (and circulating the sounds of) the first producers making what has become known as dubstep. Last, but definitely not least, the fact that the sound we now know and love grew from the intersection of genres like dub/ reggae, grime and garage (to name a few) and the UK's Jamaican Soundsystem culture. It's the latter that strikes me as the most important when listening to three Dutch producers who make music under 'The Illuminated' moniker. 

Dyzz, Rebus and Vence are well known in their native Holland for their seminal MaasBASS events - well-respected dances that have seen acts like Kaiju, Quantum Soul, Congi and many more grace the decks and test the finest of subs. But it's their music that will guarantee international recognition in the coming months. They caught my attention when one of their first productions, the dub-infused 'Scavenger', was supported by Skream and Benga on Radio 1. More big name airtime followed with the likes of the Ambassador, the one and only Mr. Joe Nice, often quick to rewind many an Illuminated tune - along with dubstep luminaries like Wheel & Deal's N-Type and Biscuit Factory Records' Walsh supporting The Illuminated's Soundsystem music. 

2013 bodes well for The Illuminated. The trio have already seen a release on FatKidOnFire's first compilation, FKOFUn/Known01, and are quickly following up with remixes on both the Mu Djina imprint and the ever-impressive Iron Shirt Recordings. Solo EPs will follow on Underslung Audio and Mu Djina again - including a remix EP that sees the truly sensational 'Scavenger' drop with remixes from Camu, TMSV and Subreachers. 

International bookings will see Dyzz, Rebus and Vence's debut visit to the UK later this year, bringing The Illuminated's take on a British - but global - sound to its birthplace for the first time. I, for one, can't wait."
