Breaking Point

I'd like to be
More than just the one you go to see when you're drunk.
And I'm learning to,
Slowly learning how to bleed through the rust.
Because in a world so mad
You have to grab the hand 
Of the one who knows to feed you.
 
It's not the temperature,
But the passing of time that brings a chill.
Just yesterday
I was enveloped in guilt.
And you a rug,
Naked and subserviant
In my palace of pain.
 
Now all that really matters
Is that we learn from the ground.
And the feelings that I'm after
Are down and out.
 
I'd like to know
More about the rays that are forced by the sun.
They're everywhere
Yet I can't find a single one.
Maybe it's the broken tracks
And screaming past
That want my blood?
 
So much is known
Still so little truth
Surrounding this
Impending doom.
But if I could go back

In fear of seeing you.

On a rag with a much more useful place.
You all scrape your knees and your shins

Because the field in which I excel in

A little more dust inside the gloom.

This Earth is world renown
