Following her single release A​Я​A on World Canvas, the multidisciplinary artist sasha smirnova presents her debut EP '…​…​…​shared strain'.
Building on the foundation and the sonic materials introduced on AЯA, '………shared strain' continues to weave together distortion, sparse processed vocals and fluctuating rhythmic movements, expanding on the synthesis and composition in smirnova's practice.
As the harmonic and rhythmic passages in the songs on '………shared strain' drift in and out of the grid and dissolve into each other, they give space and elevate the vocalizations of one another in imaginative ways of developing and exploring sound, sonic structures and their capabilities.
