Bennett Kuhn is a Philadelphia-based music producer, writer, teaching artist, community organizer, and co-owner of the Philadelphia/Brooklyn-based record label @AstroNautico (est. 2009). 

He is musician-in-residency at the Synapsis journal of health humanities at Columbia University and a co-organizer of Philadelphia-based Creative Resilience Collective, a multidisciplinary network of artists, technologists, designers, care providers,  academics, and others working with and for underserved populations in Philadelphia to improve access to quality mental health care.

The I Rise Project is a collaboration led by interfaith minister Rev. Rhetta Morgan and @AstroNautico co-founder Bennett Kuhn (@Kuhnmusic). 

Investigating the Night (dream life, restfulness, nightmares), The I Rise Project mines tools of spiritual growth, enlightenment, and activism, weaving them together in a music of radical uplift. 

Debut single ‘I Rise’ is a sweltering 808-driven announcement of dawn, a blazing, clarion declaration of hope meant to shatter dance floors around the world with two words: “Get up!”
