The Space Cartel is a Denver group of musicians that have been a part of the local music scene for more than half a decade.  Their influence is comprised of previous musical collaborations, collegiate education, and experience, that only life can provide. 
Previous exploits of the members include such works as Green River Vibe, Eddie Knolls, Swim Through Frequency, and Hatch the Bird The DBC.  These bands help to explain the past but the direction this band has taken is an entirely new track.  It has taken much time and effort but through the crucible comes the driven and directioned.  
After three years of collaboration and various projects the Cartel has defined its sound and presence.

Straight out of Denver, Colorado, A-Mac & The Height has defined the art of fusing upbeat folk rock with reggae grooves & hip-hop flavor. Front man, Alex Mackenzie-Low is known for incorporating an empowering and positive lyrical message, resulting in a unique and genuine musical experience.

When taking the stage, A-Mac & The Height (formerly known as A-Mac DZ) features a lively 7-piece band of virtuoso musicians, including Matt McElwain (Drums), Karl Rivers (Keys), Stephen Edwards (Bass), Ted Kleist (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Joey Bean (Saxophone/Vocals) and Jake Heym (Percussion).

A-Mac & The Height has shared the stage with Kyle Hollingsworth Band, Rusted Root (3x), Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, MarchFourth Marching Band, Wookiefoot, ect. and consistently delivers a laid-back party vibe in their performances. While keeping loyal fans engaged, A-Mac DZ continues to break the mold and expand their musical impact over a wide range of music lovers.

Original funky reggae grooves out of Denver, CO!

Progressive old school funk. What does that even mean? For this group, it means providing a soulful, funky sound that is heavily based on groove, just as bands like The Meters and James Brown did in years past. But it also means taking those classic, danceable elements, and adding a few new tricks.

 While they are often joined by the killer horn section of The Motet which features trumpeter Gabriel Mervine and saxophonist Matt Pitts, the core lineup showcases the shredding guitar work of Taylor Scott (Otis Taylor Band), the deep pocket of bassist Todd Edmunds (Otis Taylor Band), the tastefully funky beats of drummer Eric Imbrosciano, and kaleidoscope of aural colors provided by keyboardist and primary writer Jon Wirtz. Space Orphan will hit you in your soul and keep you dancing at the same time.
