Simple: This song is in memory of George Floyd and every other minority in the world who has suffered injustice due to racism and every other negative "ism" that exists in our "modern global society." Wasted Life was written at a time when all of my friends seemed to have these terrible boyfriends who just didn't appreciate them and caused problem after problem for them. My lyrics combine the many different flaws of these boys. However the chorus gives perspective as at the time we were 17 years old and rarely does someone that age not simply reflect their upbringing.
This song was one of my favourite to record. I loved looping over the end parts and really enjoyed the challenge of slightly different vocals to usual.

After Thought

I was watching a movie called ‘ The Darkest Hour’. About two Americans  flying to Moscow to sell their social networking/party locating software. Upon arrival they go to a nightclub and meet two girls, an American, and her Australian friend. The lights go out in the club and everyone heads outside. There, they witness a policeman investigating  being  disintegrated by this ball of lightning. The invisible entities begin hunting and killing people, sending them into a panic. They begin this cat and mouse chase across the city, trying to survive and get to a safe place.
I was totally inspired and produced this track. Enjoy. Love to all. Copyright protected ©

I deeply recognize the disparity in ways natural and human disasters affect different groups of people and the need for greater equality of care. I also recognize that I live with many privileges that others do not have. And with these recognitions, I still believe there is space for us all to have a gratitude practice while passionately endeavoring for positive change.  

I am grateful for all the accumulated creativity and work of our ancestors that lead to the eventual creation of the internet and SoundCloud which has enabled us to remain artistically connected during this period of increased physical isolation. 

May everyone’s seeds be fruitful and multiply.
