Peks - Stay With Me Tonight

Have a listen - this started with me just messing around on a piano with the Spiderman motif (melody) and I figured I owed this movie the tribute of a song.

So I listened to Samuel Kim's Spider-Man trailer adaptation and borrowed some elements to try and recreate.

Given it's been 5 days, I'm actually pretty happy that I'm improving - just a few months ago, the thought of trying to make something of this quality just felt out of reach.
Growth is a step-by-step game eh . . .

I'm primarily using:
+ FL Keys, LABS Soft Piano for piano
+ BBC Orchestra for violins, trombone, horns
+ & a bunch of samples from GhostHack & Cymatics I quite literally threw in for Sfx.

Pretty cool what you can do with one motif and some discipline to stick with one project.

If you're working on something important .. keep going

"What I'm asking is this ... wouldn't you rather give it all ... to something real?"

As soon as I watched the trailer, I started working on this remake - even if it *was*, 4 am.
It hit me in a good way.

I said to myself, "this is a bad idea ... but it's a good, bad idea".

So far, this is where we're at.
It's a fascinating song. I love how the composer(s), played with the time signature so much, while making the changes sosmooth and seamless.
... You wouldn't realise the new bar/phrase started at a different point, unless you analyzed it
// .. or listened to the song so many times, you know the voiceover lyrics by heart.


I guess a revolution is beginning soon.

Use Case:
I envision this track being applied to a silent motion scene in a film.
The emotion/mindstate is meant to be that of the character experiencing their life's events as just going so fast, it feels like watching them from outside.

The repetitive leitmotif adds to this narrative by making it seem like the same thing is happening over and over, with slight differences - like that deja vu you feel like you've had about 50 times now.

It's eerie enough, that by the end of the song, the character may feel as though they are waking from a dream - to a much more cognizant state of mind.

Thus - Philosympony - in thinking of these events, they wonder ... "was it all in my head? ... my perception and remembrance of these events ... in alignment with my personal philosophy? Was it all Philosymponic?"

I was walking back to campus after escorting a friend to the train station and this chord progression just stuck in my head.

I was feeling pretty happy because I hadn't connected with my friend like this in a while, so that was cool.
To add make things better, I had just had what I believe might have been The BEST lecture yet in my whole university journey!
AI & Philosophy; that, my friend ... that, lights me up to 101%.

So this was born ...
formed from the transforming imagination of a young man ...
articulated right in the servery/cafeteria ...
The PhiloSymphonic Soundtrack was born.

I didn't wait to get home, lest something interrupted the birth of this tune.
