I’m an artist and shade tree DJ. I’m primarily a painter who enjoys painting to Techno. I started my music loving with a fair degree of insatiability when I was in high school. You collected vinyl back then and I still have every piece I’ve ever purchased. I was considered a New Romantic in the mid 80s and Visage was my favorite band. I was lucky enough to see SigSigSputnik live in LA back then, though after starting to “rave” in the 90s, I prefer DJs to live music. The focus and dancing are completely different(especially in my home for the last 30 year, San Francisco). I’ve always been extremely fond of electronic music and at now 50yo, I rarely listen to anything but. My favorite groups from the 90s are Orbital and Fluke, along with prodigy, chemical brothers, underworld and a slew of other electronic movers and shakers of the age. I got involved in psytrance and I am still an active member of the psychedelic world of the Bay Area. I’ve never actively collected psytrance, my dance music of choice at home is techno, tech-house and the sub-genres surrounding those. I’ve always been a culture vulture and I slip in easily to the house, breaks and ambient dance floors.
