About the project

A collaborative musical project with a Malaysian Singer/songwriter and Singapore and Malaysian musicians.

The project explores the theme of “the coming of age” through folklore and fairy tales with a modern interpretation of its traditional counterpart.

Stylised in Vaudeville, the project promises a captivating musical journey with its theatrics. Kevin’s whimsical lyrics and light-hearted tunes carry with them a personal touch that promises to translate into intimate and captivating shows.

“The project is dedicated to my younger brother, i’ve always wanted to write him a song but eventually the whole project became that song” says Kevin as he talks about letting themes and morals influence his song-writing for this project.

The Kevin Michael Project has toured through Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur and Penang, and its currently based in Singapore.

Alternative instrumental tracks with strong pop sensibilities. I play music by ear and compose everything on FL Studio. Influences include La Roux, Sufjan Stevens, Ratatat, Bjork, Grimes, Teebs, Tape, Jens Lekman, Dan Deacon, Metronomy.

In a band called "jumero"  I write and sing my own songs. Then later arrange it with my awesome mates Mike and Ryan .( brother and neighbor lol)  check out our tunes. and do us a favor and like our page if you've enjoyed it :D
