After his successful teaming up with Pyramid for their Kitsuné EP and his beautiful collaboration with Darius on 'Alicia', Crayon is releasing his very own debut EP on Yuksek new label, Partyfine.  Crayon tried reuniting most of his influences within 3 original tracks.

"You'll find yourself drifting away in space wearing Joey Buttafuoco pants, you are confused because you think your time machine brought you back to some high class garden party in Miami but somehow you're breakdancing in Compton."

Space funk, R&B, and obviously a touch of modernity, embracing the only two decades Crayon   have lived through to make a record for the nostalgic just as much as it is for the ones seeking the "sound of tomorrow".

Part of Cornwall’s blistering garage-rock scene, and now a focal point of London’s underground guitar scene, The Velvet Hands (Toby Mitchell, Dan Able, Louis Mitchell and Sam Hilder) have an unashamed love of guitar based songwriting.

The band have supported the likes of Liam Gallagher, Fontaines DC, VANT, YAK + Wallows to name a few. They've toured nationally selling out dates in London, Truro, Cardiff and Glasgow. The band have also received airplay from the likes of Steve Lamacq at 6 Music, John Kennedy at Radio X and Sarah Gosling at BBC Introducing South West.

Of new single Holiday In My Head, guitarist Dan said: “It’s based on our own experience of the doldrums of being skint, working your arse off to be able to afford a postage stamp sized flat, only to have to shave in the kitchen sink because the landlord won’t fix the one in the bathroom. Take that and then put it in lockdown, it felt like the walls were closing in - very claustrophobic. You can’t escape to anywhere apart from your own daydreams. The song is an anthem of escapism in the modern era”.
