Edgar Robert Guess Jr., better known by his stage name R.E.D.G.A (short for Righteous Ethical Diligence Guarantee Accomplishments) & formerly known as Rage Hunta Red Muff, is a Fiction-Non-Fiction Hip Hop artist from Manhattan, New York City who represents the raw balance between education and elevation, street truth and lyrical substance. The name is more than an acronym—it’s a mindset he walks with in every rhyme.

His journey began on February 3, 2016, after writing a verse to rewrite dialogue for a YouTuber’s wrestling game content. Just a month later, he was recording 2 freestyle tracks on a mobile studio app, influenced by boom bap’s golden era and motivated by a hunger to make his voice heard.

By summer school of 2016, while battling the pressure of nearly being held back, he found relief digging through classic Hip Hop albums on YouTube—It Was Written, Nine Livez, Mecca And The Soul Brother, etc. That era soaked into his soul and gave his lyrics new life. 

On August 24, 2016, he recorded his first on-camera freestyle, launching a consistent run that would define his presence early on. In February 2017, he turned a classroom debate into a poetic rap performance, leaving a lasting impact that merged education with lyrical form. And by January 14, 2018, he had marked an important personal milestone—dropping a complete body of work under his previous alias as a tribute to his father’s birthday.

The current chapter of R.E.D.G.A’s journey began evolving in mid-2024, and has since expanded into new campaigns, visual ideas, and real-world stage presence. As of June 2025, his consistency remains unmatched—built off freestyle growth, self-reflection, and the will to speak with purpose.

R.E.D.G.A evolved from raw potential into a sharpened penman with purpose. His bars speak from both reality and imagination—half wisdom, half warfare, laced with golden era flavor and underground hunger.
